Long Lake General Store is a very nice, sweet little store that has been remodeled. It is a bit rustic, charming, and one of the coolest stores you could find. The store carries a little bit of everything, including the essentials, fishing supplies with live bait, interesting souvenirs, and staples. It serves ice cream by the scoop. The people are super nice, some of the nicest ladies, and are very knowledgeable about the area, providing helpful information and flyers. A visit is part of the classic "up north" experience, perfect for travelers, residents, and campers, and it is good for emergencies or when you forget to pack something.
I lost a heated visor cord on the trail and happened by the place. Awesome little place. While they did not have the cord, who I am assuming was the owner said, I have a set of goggles right there. Hybrid helmet works with goggles. They saved my whole ride of another 100 miles that day. Thank you, great little place.
