They sell condoms individually vs having to buy them in a whole pack so its easier to see what you like. Everyone was friendly and helpful.

Discreet, classy way to shop for his and her pleasure. And the dark chocolate at purchase, great touch.

Always such a lovely time at AWT. Jamie is great and helped me understand how to use, lace, and tighten my first corset (while also showing my partner). Being able to test toys is also great, they have a great literature selection, and lovely/inclusive/welcoming/knowledgeable staff. Madison is lucky to have this store!!

The staff here are incredibly nice, and are very knowledgeable about everything they have in stock. they had a ton of variety in their products, and many brands for each as well. very non-judgmental, and willing to help, very good about individual needs and personal preferences. I would highly recommend to anyone interested in learning or purchasing something for themselves

Walked in and was immediately greeted by "could you put a mask on". No hello no anything and mind you, no where in Madison requires a mask at this point. I said no thank you I'm leaving (mind you we were the only ones in the store). She gave me a dirty look and i just turned around and walked out. I used to love this spot, but I will never give business to this store again. Honestly Amazon has always been cheaper, but I always like to support small business. But with such rude staff I won't be back.

Fabulous shop! Relatively small, super friendly and professional staff, and most of the products are displayed out of box (and charged, if applicable) so you can “test” them prior to purchase. This was my first time coming to this store and I will definitely be a repeat customer!

My husband and I stopped in over the weekend and we had a really great experience. We traveled there from Northern Illinois, it was a special trip just to visit the store. We were not disappointed! We were greeted by all of the employees, who were very friendly and knowledgeable. I had some questions about perimenopausal issues that I have been experiencing and my questions were answered very thoroughly and I was given some very great information. We absolutely loved that all of the products were on display so that you could feel them, compare them, and even try out the vibrating ones just to get a feel for things. I thought that was awesome! It really helped us narrow down our choices. We left very happy, and we love all of the items that we have purchased. We will definitely be back again!

It gives me no joy to say this, because I was looking forward to support a local queer-owned business. My partner and I came in: she had been shopping there for years, but it was my first time. After a few minutes, when we were alone in the store with just one employee (who we believe is an owner), I was treated more rudely than maybe I ever had been before by a business. My partner and I had been talking, and my mask began to slip below my nose, since the mask goes under my chin it has a tendency to move down when I talk, and I often have to pull it up back over my nose. The top edge was still touching the tip of my nose, but it had fallen not even a centimeter underneath my nose. The woman at the counter, in a very hostile and contemptuous manner, angrily barked at me that I needed to wear my mask properly. I hadn't even realized my mask had slipped and I was flabbergasted. She was about 15 feet away from us, one of three in a large room, mind you. I explained to her, as calmly as I could, that my mask had slipped ever so slightly because my partner and I were speaking to each other. She backed off slightly and then said to let her know if we had any questions about products, but the damage was done and I felt completely attacked. We were both appalled and immediately left. I understand being careful during this pandemic. I always wear my mask in public, I'm vaccinated, and boosted. From spring 2020 to 2021 I avoided shopping anywhere outside of the grocery store and did not eat/drink inside any bar/restaurant. But here I was treated like some sort of anti-masker for a tiny problem with my mask, something I hadn't even noticed until she derisively ordered me to pull it up a few millimeters. Even if my mask was TRULY below my nose, which it really wasn't (my nostril and entrance to my nasal cavity was not exposed), all she needed to do was politely ask me to pull my mask up a little bit since it slipped. Instead, she spoke to me with the most insolent, scornful tone as if I'd just grievously insulted her or her family. It felt like blind hatred being directed towards me. This is an everyday, trivial mishap. It's kind of like your shoelace becoming untied. It certainly did not warrant being spoken to as if I was tearing apart the books we were standing by. I was not actively moving my mask down nor did I decide that I'd wear my mask like that. I know how to wear a mask. Was this woman just watching me and waiting for my mask to slip so she could chastise me? Sure felt like it. Had she not seen me wearing the mask over the tip of my nose when I entered and just assumed I walked around wearing my mask improperly? Or was she just being petty? Was she on a power trip? Regardless, I couldn't believe how mean-spirited and rude this woman was to me. I'm not going back and my partner doesn't want to continue giving them business. I already was feeling self-conscious about being in a sex store for only the second or third time in my life, the last thing I need is a Karen disdainfully scolding me for a super minor infraction. I expect to be treated with respect whenever I enter a business, and I'd think that a store like this would want all its customers to feel comfortable and welcomed. This woman did not seem to think I deserved that. Guess it's back to shopping for sex stuff online.

I stopped on my way thru town as our therapist suggested to. I was very impressed with the sales staff, their knowledge and how I felt free and open to ask anything. The purchase I made was completely explained as how to use it. Too bad it's so far away but I'll make effort to return..with my wife too!! Thanks for all!

This place has been around for a really long time... they helped me once long ago when I was a young 20something with some questions I didn't feel comfortable asking anybody else. I am so glad they are still going strong.

Dirty or used product. Bought in store and there are no returns, only exchanges. Out of $80 and will never return again. Such a disappointment.

Knowledgeable, comfortable staff. If you're looking for help, it's a great place. However, I am a buyer looking for low prices. Compared to similar stores in the area, they're average ($90 for a nice rabbit?). But I found the same item later on amazon for $45, and unlike amazon, this store has a 0-tolerance return or price match policy. When I said that the rabbit ears were surprisingly sharp, they said that I had plenty of time to inspect it before purchasing. When I asked for a price match, they told me the same; no returns, no credit, nothing, even for this type of defective (read: painful) product. I understand they can't resell such an item, but I shouldn't have to bite $90 for a sharp rabbit, either. Deal shoppers beware
