Overall my experience was not so great I’m very greatful I had somewhere to lay my head at night but some of the staff when I stayed there a year ago was very disrespectful and didn’t really care about the children I was told by a staff name Connie she would put me out in the cold because I didn’t wanna wake up at 5 am in the morning to get a towel that wasn’t mine left in the showers I think it should be a lot of improving with the staff because overall it was horrible I won’t say every staff was like this there was absolutely good ones as well

A social worker at Briarpatch had an inappropriate relationship with our 17 year old daughter while she stayed at Briarpatch. This social worker clearly did not want our daughter to leave Briarpatch when the time came, being untruthful with us. I contacted the Executive Director three times with a detailed written complaint but received no response. I then emailed the Board of Directors who upon reviewing the case responded, " We believe Briarpatch acted with your daughter's best interest in mind."

Hello! I am the new Executive Director of Briarpatch Youth Services as of mid-February 2023. I give Briarpatch 4 out of 5 stars, as there is always room for reflection, growth, and improvement. I am grateful for the opportunity to walk alongside the Briarpatch staff members, board members, volunteers, partners, funders, supporters, and youth with the shared purpose of strengthening the lives of youth and families.

I would not recommend staying here. My niece stayed here for awhile because of her situation and felt like they rushed her to leave and had disgusting attitudes towards certain youth. I never in my life would recommend someone coming and staying here because majority of the counselors that work here do not want to be bothered with youth. Only way I would recommend someone if all of the staff were gone and maybe get someone that is more sincere and enthusiastic about being at work. No child should ever feel like a burden to anyone.
