The meat counter has great selection. However, I always end up waiting for someone to show up for 10+ minutes. This time, I called the meat dept while waiting at the counter and they came right out. I recommend this practice.

This store is close to where I work, so I stop in to pick up a few things on my lunch break. I have tried to buy a "salad kit" or whatever they call them for my lunch while I'm there, and they have been rotten. Just disgusting. I wonder if they alter the dates? I normally shop at a pick n save close to where I live and I've never had this problem there. I let a bad experience slide once, but three times??? You couldn't pay me to eat their stuff anymore. Very pissed off...

Pick n Save stocked some very outdated dry goods on their shelves. I usually look at dates on dairy, meat, produce, prepared food but never expected this on dry goods. When we tried tor return this item for refund, they said they wouldn't take it back because of the COVID pandemic. Asked if we could get a refund since all the replacements on the shelf were also expired (by 5 months!!) and were told "after the pandemic." What, in 2 years??? Really bad stocking and customer service. Used to be decent now not worth it. @picknsavestores

Great location, helpful employees, and excellent deals. If you shop here, be sure to get the Pick 'n Save membership card. It's free and will save you money on many of the items. It also lets you accumulate points that you can apply to receive a discount on gas at select stations.

This store, in a great location on University Avenue, has been through several transitions as far as name/franchise lately. Each transition has resulted in a lessening of my opinion of the store, finally culminating in my "never again" decision to shop there as of last week. Let me explain... I usually shop and pay for my groceries with a local debit card. I usually take $20 or $40 out in cash more than the total bill, to grab coffee/lunch/dinner with afterward rather than having to trek to an ATM. Last week, when doing this, a surcharge popped up for .50 to be able to get the $20 extra. I said... "Wow. Is this new? You guys never charged for small amounts of cash back." The cashier just shrugged. I asked to speak to a manager. After about a fifteen minute wait, the manager walked over...in a visibly surly, unpleasant mood. I asked the question about the new surcharge and she dismissively said..."That's corporate. We have nothing to do about it." I then said, "To the best of my knowledge, your two local competitors (Sentry and Hy-Vee) don't do this, so I think I'm going to start shopping there." She was about as unpleasant to me as a person can get. Choose a different store, folks!

Typical grocery store. They had everything in stock that we were looking for. They had a pretty big deli with lots of choices. Their floral department was pretty nice. They had a huge selection of fresh flowers for a reasonable price.

I stopped in to pick up some flowers for a new mom returning to work. I was impressed with the colorful autumn arrangements with a variety of flower types. The arrangements were reasonably priced. Lisa, who works in the floral department, helps me select an arrangement and coordinating vase. She trimmed the arrangement, placed in the vase with water and flower food and nicely wrapped a raffia bow around it. She carefully put the arrangement in a special box and gave me extra flower food as well. She was extremely helpful!

We moved to this side of town a couple months ago. We have already been overcharged or mis-charged at least 5-6 times that we know of (who knows how many times we haven't caught it?). Today when we got home, looked at the receipt to see we were charged for 3 boxes of condoms. We're a lesbian couple. Last week, every veggie was a double charge. It has happened too often to be a coincidence, and we never had this problem at the Fish Hatch Pick n Save. Ridiculous.
