I have started sending my prescriptions here after shortages have made Walgreens a nightmare and I am able to pick my meds up the same day that they are sent. 10/10 customer service and attention to customers.

Tried to get my prescription filled here, but they told me, in a rude, condescending manner, that they don’t take my insurance. Seriously, it’s Blue Cross Blue Shield, it’s not some random insurance company. I think after being talked to like I’m an idiot, it’s probably for the best. Too bad I liked buying supplements here, will need to order them online. Not going back there, I have some sense of self worth.

Amazing people who are not just selling products but actually care about the individual people they are selling it to. Amazing team and amazing people seriously I would give them 10 stars or a Michelin stars if I could haha. They understand everyone’s journey to health and happiness is unique and will remember you ❤️ So grateful I found this coop! Thanks to everyone on the team!

This review is only reflects the pharmacy portion of the business which is truly atrocious. However, the store & their staff are outstanding.
If you are thinking of switching from a “big name” pharmacy to support a local pharmacy, I would be very cautious. I previously got my Rx’s from Walgreens but once my favorite pharmacist left, I thought it would be good to support a local pharmacy.
That was a horrible mistake.
I had some deeply concerning experiences with the pharmacy staff, primarily the pharmacist on two occasions (before I immediately transferred my medications) but her staff seemed to follow her lead, although they often seemed confused by her hostility and judgement. She was demeaning, insulting and abrasive, bordering on cruel. I left in tears. Also, now that I’m at an efficient, caring pharmacy, I realize that the information I was given about several of medications, fill dates, etc… was not accurate.
If you value your health and need medication, please steer clear of the pharmacy department of this otherwise wonderful place.

One of the BEST pharmacies in the country! These folks are real, so helpful, and very kind and fun.
They have helped me with perfect tea recommendations, sound nutrition supplement advice, and I have always felt at home here. Also, several of my UW Health GP’s have recommended Community Ph. highly as a resource.

I believe its the only local place that compounds homeopathy. Also, lots of practical stuff in the store.

I (along with my husband) have been using Community for most of our prescription meds for over 2 decades. I've always had good service from them. They painstakingly prepared med boxes for my husband for years and they continue to fill my med needs now. It's too bad they had to leave downtown, but that was beyond their control. If I have a question or concern I call or drop-in and they address it. I cannot address the few negative reviews that have appeared here. I've not experienced that.

The pharmacists are the best. There are always wonderful products to buy and try and staff are very helpful to help you find what you need for what's going on. This place is a Madison gem. I recommend this pharmacy to everyone.

I had heard so much great about this place, unfortunately 90% of the time in treated like a burden and a drug addict, despite the fact I don't even get pain killers. You can stand at the counter and wait, and almost no one ever acknowledges you, says the will be right with you, nothing. Then the clear disdain they show for you picking up your medications is ludacris. They kept giving me part refills, I had to talk to people three times to get all my meds short filled and coming at the same time, this was difficult for me being disabled to try and pick up medications all the time. They id me anytime I come in, I get three prescriptions monthly, and sometimes I forget my ID, even though they know me and I don't get pain killers, I'm still turned away. After my wife dealt with them recently she now understands why I'm so irritated after a visit. I was glad to get away from Walgreens as they had issues getting enough of my medications, but if I have to fight for fair treatment just to pay you, I'm headed back to Walgreens. I went 15 minutes each way or of my way to switch to this local pharmacy and it was definitely a mistake.

Over many years I've had an excellent rapport w/ community pharmacy. ( Especially before the pharmacy on Fair oaks existed.) I'd only been to the new pharmacy 2× - before this last visit. My first visit was pleasant ,the staff was knowledgeable & helpful. My 2nd time was similar to a visit- another patron had: where- she called in-advance w/ all the correct- specific information - on a product purchased there before...they said "yes"we have it.Got there- no dice.. This last time 10/24 I stood there for quite some time ... I did not want to be rude - so I waited to make sure they were not on the phone w/ important calls that were ahead of me... and not waiting on somebody in front of me. I kind of smiled a couple of times when they looked @ me - I nodded pleasantly... Their response- " look away annoyed & start a new conversation w/ fellow co - workers. This occurred several times- until I stepped closer to the register, opened my purse and took money out. After several more minutes.. one of the guys who'd looked @ me several ×s & walked away...Said- "You've been helped RIGHT?!?-Sarcastically) I replied no, & After asking for the product I needed help with.. we kind of went round and round and back and forth, but unfortunately no substitution or alternative could be located , Nothing worked... I left w/ no remedy or solution to the problem. Really bummed out.

I stop by Community Pharmacy often for my medications and was disappointed to see in the past weeks that not a single staff member was masked, including pharmacists, while there is a national and local COVID surge ongoing.
I'm disappointed to see that Community Pharmacy does not value the health or safety of immunocompromised patients/customers.
