I went into DXL Big and Tall to buy a shirt for a larger friend, who did not live in Madison. I was greeted by Dean the moment I walked in. My friend provided very little information on his size and measurements. With just a photo and a general description of my friend, Dean used his best judgement and helped me pick a shirt. A complete shot in the dark, but he nailed it!!! Fits my friend perfectly! Not too loose or too tight and he loved it. I am extremely impressed at his expertise and professionalism. Dean is the real deal!

I went in yesterday afternoon and immediately got the distinct impression that I was bothering the person by being in her presence. Honestly this was a real turn off, decided to try on a pair of pants and just go somewhere else.

Love the DXL stores. But this one needs an employment change to have a women in a all men's store is stupid. Second she's not what so ever friendly. Extremely rude. Between the one here and the one in shokapee MN. There's a massive difference. If the women that works at this store reads this I was the school bus driver. If you can't be friendly to the customers. Start up a friendly conversation. Say hi ask how your day is, welcome. All I got was can I help you find something. 75% of us the shop here know where everything is plus if we need help we'll come find you. It's not that big of a store. Try some new lines. Or or I could be realy cold and mean.

I had the pleasure to have Dean help me with some recent purchases. He immediately made me feel welcome in the store. I was in a time crunch and a little stressed about not allowing myself enough time to navigate my options. I've spent many decades frustrated by my size and finding clothes that fit properly. I've tried all the big box stores multiple times, leaving just as empty-handed and frustrated as the previous times.
After relocating a year ago to the suburbs of Madison Wisconsin, I came across the need to revamp my wardrobe slightly. Just the thought of wandering again helplessly around the big box stores looking for anything that might even come close to fitting, I thought I might try the local DXL.
Upon entering, I was greeted with a smile by Dean (a rare reminder of what true customer service is all about). Dean took a few measurements and within minutes delivered the very items I was looking for. No more frustration, excellent selection and leaving with that same infectious smile that Dean greeted me with only minutes before.
Rest assured, with this kind of peerless service, I now know where I'll be returning again and again when the need arises. Bravo Dean and DXL!

If you don't know what you are doing I highly recommend this place. The sales lady was super helpful and knows her stuff. She really saved the day yesterday. If you are a big guy this is the place to go. 10/10

Both times I've gone here, Dean has helped me out. Wow, what a gem of a person he is. He's so helpful, knowledgeable, kind, and funny - my girlfriend and I both love him.
The clothes are good quality and so far they've always had stuff that fits me. Highly recommend this location because of Dean - can't speak for any others..
