Floor is always filthy. Store looks run down. Employees not particularly friendly. Lots of low quality items. Prices, overall, are better elsewhere. Tried to buy some lampshades and they wouldn't sell them to me, saying they weren't for sale.

This is like my fifth time coming here and there's a sign on the door that they're not open during their business hours because their system is down once again

Friendly staff. The store is one of my favorites. They have some nice items for reasonable prices.

Maybe fix the open and close time to match reality.

Came here 3 days in a row, google says they close at 9, I get there at 8 and they’re closed because registers are down. Next day I come earlier and the same thing. Today I just left15 minutes ago, its now 5:05 and guess what? You guessed it closed because of registers. This would be understandable if they didn’t have a history of closing whenever they want for 5 or 10 minutes here and there.

If you hope to choose from a variety, this isn't the place to go. The store was dirty and everything was scattered about. The shelves are barely filled and products don't seem to be replaced when they run out.

Understand short staff, it's everywhere but update the hours of operation, if store is not going to be open till later or not at all.

They don’t update their hours. Drove 20 minutes to find out they open at 8 and not 9

This Family Dollar isn't the greatest at customer service. I stood at the register for several minutes waiting to buy a pack of smokes while multiple employees walked past me without acknowledging my presence. I ended up walking out. I should not have to hunt down someone to ring me up. I get that people have to step away from their post for various reasons. Have someone else provide coverage in that case. As a secondary comment on the food stamp issue, I don't believe this has anything to do with the co-op. I believe it is because the Family Dollar does not have adequate coolers to store items like milk, cheese, butter, etc. In order for Family Dollar to participate in the EBT program Family Dollar would have to be "all in" offering a broader range of healthy options besides dry goods. I believe you can get a free membership to the co-op with an EBT card. The co-op does "try" diversify their offerings such as fruits and vegetables AND other staples with not only organic items but also the more affordable stuff like Campbell's Soup, $super yummy chips for about a $1.00, Bagels Forever, etc...

This Family Dollar Store in the mall near library. They will not take Ebt aka food stamps. All of their other stores accept it. I was told by the "manager" that Willy St Co-op would not agree to come build there unless the family dollar store refused to take ebt. Exploiting us. Now I have a response from the Co-op saying they did no such thing. So who is right? I heard this from FamiIy dollar store workers. Without F.D. taking ebt we are forced into shopping at Willy st Co-op which everything costs double, and you have to pay them just to shop there. I have end stage liver disease an many more people than me need this to change. You are a good store. Ill change rating if you can give me an answer. Im calling them out for you FD. Without your official permission i should add.Dustin

Horrible customer service, they never answer the phone, every time I walk in the store they are sitting on their cell phone doing nothing and then have the nerve to have an attitude !! I can’t believe you’re still in business just go to the DOLLAR TREE on E. Washington Ave.
