Searched for a product and didn't find it. The cashier was not any help. The supervisor went in the back and eventually brought it to the front after I paid for it. He didn't want to go sixty-two feet to my truck with the 47# package.

Needed an extra wet saw for my business so I went and read reviews and the saw had decent reviews so for a back up/extra saw I went and gave it a try, came home set it up on the weekend then a few days later brought it to work and when I tried to get it going the saw wouldn’t start, the pump turned on but not the motor. So I just ran to Home Depot and bought a Redgid one for about the same amount. When I went to return it today I explained to them what had happened and they gave me a refund minus $50 dollar restocking fee, gentleman there said to call costumer service and they might be able to waive that so I did that and they said nothing could be done on their end. So I wasted time and money but lesson learned, never again.

I’ve been going to this store for years and have never had an issue. In fact it was my favorite store in the Madison area until today when I was lied to directly by the store manager about an open box item. It was very clearly used and damaged and yet was told that an employee had opened it and that was all. If that was the case, where’s the box? Why is there such damage to a never used product? Long story short, I would have bought the product either way but the store manager not having honest communication with me made me question the ethics and morales of the whole place. I will not be returning to this specific Harbor Freight in the future.

Beware of restocking fees! I returned a defective product (battery power station) a few hours after buying it, after a manager (Chris) told me that I could return it if it didn't work out for me. Chris failed to tell me that there would be a 20% restocking fee. When I returned it, they charged me a 20% restocking fee on a defective item, returned in exact same condition a few hours later. HF website prominently says 90 day returns. But now looking back at the website you have to dig further to see there may be a restocking fee. Bambi (Chris' boss) said they don't "rent" tools without a return charge. Why would I rent something that's defective? It's a pure gotcha fee. They got me. Bambi told me that it says right in the receipt there is a restocking fee. Well guess what, you don't get that in writing on your receipt until AFTER you've purchased it. I won't be back, they've lost me permanently as a customer. For $34.

This place is exceptional. The quality, variety and great deals here make it a great place to wander around and find a few things you never knew you needed lol. Plus the staff friendliness factor is a big bonus!

I want to leave separate reviews for the product we bought and immediately had to return and the helpful customer service individuals who we dealt with, but I can't. As a result, this review is only about Zach and Kyle at store 135.
Zach and Kyle both went above and beyond being helpful for us. They were experts, friendly, and supportive. They exhibited professionalism and knowledge. If this is what their work ethic usually looks like, either would be excellent candidates for advancement.
