Hoyt Park is a gem of a park stuck in the middle of the West side. It offers one of the best views of the city and a great area for kids. The trails are expansive, forested, and allow dogs. There are rock outcroppings, prairie, hills, and geological structure to view. Picnic areas include a nice shelter, plenty of picnic tables, and outdoor fireplaces. Clean restrooms are available. The park has a pavilion for hosting parties and a fireplace picnic area. It is a cute, quaint, semi hidden park that is great for walking and a decent sized hike.
I love this park. It's got one of the best views of the city and it also has a great area for kids. Nice walking. It's just one of Madison's fine parks. Love going there. Would recommend it anytime. During the Summers they have areas where you can cook out. Just a very cute quaint Park.

Excellent semi hidden park in Madison. The trails are very expansive. There's lots of history here as well. There's a pavilion for hosting parties and some very cool outdoor fireplaces. It's a great spot to spend the day.
