This is a tiny market you would never shop otherwise but have to since there are not many options for oriental markets in Madison, WI. Floor is sticky, shelves are dusty, and selection is poor. Markups are outrageous and plus, the owner is rude and unfriendly.Similar to what others have said, look at the expiration dates carefully before you purchase. They don't apologize for their mistakes and don't even know what customer service is.To sum it short, I'd rather throw my money down the drain than spend a dime at this establishment.

Great korean/japanese small store for your niche needs. Can be a bit pricier but will have items that aren't available elsewhere in the area. Would highly recommend a quick visit!

This place is clean and the owner is so helpful. I had so many questions on how-to make certain dishes. She was friendly, smiled, and gave me tons of encouragement. Love, love this place!

I really like this place. I'm Korean and I'm so glad this store is here- the kimchi is better than that from "regular" stores, they got snacks, kitchen and dinnerware.

Don't go there if you are european-looking!Today cashier refused to sell me big bottle of Korean cooking wine, literally took it away from me from the counter and put it back on a shelf, saying she is keeping it for herself. If I wondered is this wine closer to sake or mirin doesn't mean I don't deserve to buy it.Imagine parallel world, not selling European food to Koreans, cause they don't know how to cook it properly or whatever. With such attitude, I will never come back.

Bought kimchi and had got a run. What’s even worse, kimchi is not refundable.

I love this store! The staff are very friendly and they have a pretty good selection of snacks and cooking ingredients. They also have cookware/utensils and some freshly prepared banchan. I look forward to my next visit.

Cute little shop that has the Korean food items I need (mostly snacks, Milkis, and pancake mix). I don’t mind credit card minimums or quiet staff. No one has ever followed me around or been rude to me there. The ajumma who works there is polite and efficient.

Really cute little locally-owned Korean grocer. They sell kim chee, many kinds of gochujang, and some very nice crockery. A tiny bit overpriced, IMO, but worth a visit for the friendly staff, well organized products. Oh hey, look! Sheet masks (Dermal brand, from Korea) by the checkout counter! I will be back for sure.

Lighten Up and Live!!!Try not to discriminate based on $ spent...The only reason this store gets the second star is that they carried the item I couldn't find at other Asian stores in town.

Pay attention to the expiration date before you buy!! I found a lot of products that were almost expiring or even have ALREADY expired put on the front of the shelves and those far from the expiration date hidden behind them. Still, the store is well organized and clean.
