If I could give this company a 0 star I definitely would. They are a scam and deny you even though you should be covered. They fight about everything and request proof of all medical records and still deny you! It is clear that they don’t like to pay off. They have a fake doctor that agrees with their scam. Do not get them they are a waste of money. Go get colonial life insurance they will cover you and won’t ask questions when you send in the proof. Colonial understands that a doctor’s word means a lot. This company doesn’t. They will tell you that your doctor did not submit enough evidence blah blah. Complete scam! I cancelled them after 7 years of paying insurance. Even after I appealed their decision they still denied me. Save yourself the headache believe me.

Would recommend -10 if possible this is the worst company I have ever done business with. I have been trying to close my account for 6 months now and recieve my equity. The support company is not even in the United States and seems to have no ability to resolve my closure even after sending the documentation with a public notory and a valid drivers license ID.

So difficult to get ahold of anyone! Left to figure things out by myself. Very frustrating. Additionally, they deny so much!!!

Stay away from this company. They scammed me on payment and often they will go through your credit union to build your trust.

On Sept 18, I received 11 letters from this sham of a company (all with different reference dates) talking about loan amounts and policy termination. When I called to inquire, I got several different answers about grace periods, how to dispute, resolution process, etc. As a previous customer wrote, they refuse to create a paper trail. They claim to have sent me a letter in July that I have repeatedly told them I did not receive. Each time I have this conversation with them, I am told there is no record of my refuting that information. One of their associates told me I had 5 years to bring policy current (which according to them, matured in July of this year). When asked what that cost would be, I was told that the team handling that would call me with that info. It took over a month and 8 phone calls to receive that info. In the meantime they sent me documents to forfeit my policy (which was valued at over $56K). After finally getting an amount to bring my policy current, they want to tell me to that the funds will be used to start a new account with a new 2 yr waiting period. Why ia this necessary if I am well within the 5 yr window? It is impossible to get a straight or consistent answer from them. John, I would love to start a class action against them. Madison National Life is the absolute worse!

Had a family member that had their product; they refused to pay-out on any technicality and made things as difficult as possible in an already difficult time. For your employees, would find something better.

Guess i opened an account with these guys in 2011. Got a letter this year about my account. Called to ask about it. Got told to close it i had to fill out and get a form and get it notarized. It was a legal requirement to verify who i am. I updated my address and nuber with them. After pointing out i can verify who i am just fine on the phone why do i need to get it notarized, do they reimburse for it? Could they tell me the law on it as i like to verify. They hung up on me. The second lady i spoke to just told me it was a legal requirement they dont talk about that policy on the phone. Her supervisor admitted it wasnt a legal requirement, she was "incorrect" just a company requirement. Then informed me my account doesnt have any notes or updates on it. Honestly after how hard they tried to make it difficult to close an account i forgot i even had with them. I kinda just dont want to rememeber they are a company moving forward. Edit: After over a hour on the phone they confirmed i dont actually need to get it notarized at all, but they refuse to send any email or any sort of paper trail confirming that. Their supervisor then said their employee was lying and i have to do it. But again couldnt quote a law. If any one starts a class action let me know.

This is the worst!!! Company ever! My Doctor sent me off on Maternity Leave early and this company decided that what my doctor sent me off for wasn’t a complication!!! How would you know if it isn’t a complication!!! Are you guys doctors!!! I have had this insurance for over 5years and never claimed anything. Got pregnant and they refuse to pay me my short term disability. They won’t even pay me disability for after I have baby! This company is the worst for any disability insurance and I am very upset at how my Claims Specialist Vanity handle my whole case. I have to continuously call to find out what’s happening with my claim. Then for her to tell me oh! We cannot pay you . Pregnancy in itself is a disability! It is a complication just being pregnant. Who are you to tell me how I felt during my pregnancy. I was sick my whole pregnancy barely could eat, sleep or do anything. But Madison Life wants to diagnose me themselves! Disappointed beyond words!!! CANCELLED! Wasted my money for 5yrs for nothing!

I'm a CPA and have dealt with or had experience working with many insurance carriers. These guys are delay tactic experts and liars. They will send you incorrect forms to complete and contact you weeks later stating they need new forms, send you the exact same form with their address changed, and then ask you to resubmit the claim. I'm working on nearly 6 weeks now on a death benefit claim and have been told on 3 separate occasions that the funds are "on the way and everything has been approved".DO NOT BUY INSURANCE FROM THESE PEOPLE.

Unsupportive INSURANCE company. They don't have the customer's interests in mind. ESPECIALLY after the client has paid for a Benefit Amount out of his/her check. They use DELAY tactics & will lie about the Delay when you talk to them over the phone. Insurance Companies used to be there for the people that bought it, but its a SCAM. Typical cowards

Have been waiting a hour or more then disconnected three days in a row

I call to find out how my investments are doing. For three days I could not get anyone on the phone when I called. A recording comes on stating your wait time will be over five minutes. I waited over 45 minutes before I gave up the first two times. The third time I called I left a voice message with my name and account number. NO PHONE CALL RETURN! The forth time I called I waited for 1hr and 18 minutes before a representative answer. I ask about my account. As she looked up the information the phone call disconnected. No phone call was returned. This is unacceptable ?
