This is the best gym I’ve ever been too, without a doubt. They have every piece of equipment you could ever imagine, from old school to new, in pristine condition. Whether you’re a body builder, a power lifter, or someone looking to get in shape, this gym fits all your needs. On top of this, the gym is clean every time I visit, not once have I gone and the bathrooms been dirty, or weights been left scattered. Me and my girlfriend go to a college a decent ways from Madison. Every time we take a trip home, we’ve bought day passes here. And It very clear the owner wants the best gym experience for the people that attend his gym. Highly recommended!

LARGE amount of equipment, actually a bit overwhelming how many pieces they have. Just means I have to keep coming back to try them all out. Surprisingly despite how many pieces they have the place is still pretty clean and equipment is well maintained

Madtown is hands-down the best gym I've been to. I went to the Princeton club for about 1.5 years, and as a bodybuilding gym, it's better than the Princeton club in every way.The quality and variety of the equipment they have is fantastic, and they're continually adding more and upgrading what they have to make it better. Even the basics are better; the barbells are standardized and marked, they actually have good knurling, and the they're marked for use for competition lifts. The benches and squat racks are all top-quality EliteFTS equipment, and the dumbbells are all iron, no rubber. If you're a powerlifter, they have Ivanko kilo plates to train with. As a bodybuilder, they have everything you could need. Just for quad training, they have linear hack squats or varying angles, linear leg presses or varying angles, pendulum/swing squats, super squats, squat/hip presses, and leg extensions. The only thing Madtown still needs is a men's locker room. There's currently a women's locker room and a men's bathroom, but the men's locker room is still under construction since the owner has prioritized upgrading the equipment. This isn't a big deal for me personally.Madtown has no business being as good as it is for the membership fee they're charging. If you're passionate about strength or physique sport, Madtown is by far the best gym in Madison for you.

Dan is a fantastic guy to work with. He has a ton of options for equipment and has equipment that I haven't seen at any other gym. He's always looking to improve the space and get more options for equipment as well. Definitely recommend!

This is a hardcore gym. You don't need to worry about cleaning equipment after use. You don't need to be quiet. You don't need to worry about wearing a mask at anytime through the Covid years. This is not a clean gym like Princeton Club and its not trying to be that. You will see tobacco chewing bags on the ground, but who cares. If those things are important to you you should look elsewhere. Some of the machines are pretty cool. The bad is at times you start to like a machine and then the next day ownership gets rid of it to never return. Also a lot of times equipment is broken and it takes awhile to fix broken cables, ripped pads, broken pullies and cardio equipment.

Easily the best gym in Wisconsin. Pretty sure he'd give those sissies at MadHouse Gym and DMV Iron a run for their money too. Maybe the best gym in the universe now that I think about it.

For half a decade, I watched this gym go from a little powerlifting gym to, dare I say, a sort of midwestern Iron Mecca. This is indubitably one of the best gyms I've ever trained in. So much so it's now the standard at which I judge other gyms and sadly, no other gym even comes close to measuring up. Everything about this place makes you want to be better and do better. The cornucopia of machinery targeting muscle groups I didn't know I had is equal parts impressive, overwhelming, and exciting.Tl;dr: Just join this amazing gym.

Great bodybuilding/powerlifting gym with an atmosphere to match. Patrons are enjoyable to lift with. The east location is unfortunately closing on June 15th :/
