One of the few places that can service a Smart ForTwo! Brought my car in after it overheated. Somehow, there weren't any issues after the toe - but, as part of the cooling inspection, they checked everything. Spent the better part of the day testing every component of the cooling system. A disreputable mechanic would have made something up to get money back for the time - not here. Honest and dependable service.

On our way back from vacation and we had a blow out on the highway. I called Midwest to see if we could get a new tire right away. The young lady who helped us was wonderful. When we got there a man helped us and had a great sense of humor. They gave us a loaner car until our car was finished. Two hours later we were back on the road. Thank you for the wonderful service 😀 ❤️ 😊

They attempted to fix my transmission issue, they said it was the accumulator pipe and charged 800 to fix. Picked car up and they said everything was good with the car. Drove home and car stop on road and wouldn't accelerate, but I took car back and they said I need to pay 7000 for a new transmission....

Midwest Engine is the best car shop I have ever gone to! Thank you to Sonja and the team for replacing my tires on my Land Rover in a timely fashion! I highly recommend them! Do not go to a Land Rover dealership in Madison, instead go to Midwest!

I am extremely satisfied with the service I received from Midwest Engine. All things were throughly explained, and in those conversations the Technician certainly demonstrated his knowledge and skills to service my vehicle. The overall communications and staff engagement was great. I received a call following the initial vehicle inspection, a call regarding what needed to be repaired and what should be repaired, and what could wait, very nice for budget management. The service cost are more than reasonable and the turnaround time on my needed repairs was more than acceptable. I will certainly be using Midwest going forward and recommending their reputable services to all of my friends and anyone in need of quality vehicle service repairs, maintenance and upkeep.

WOW! I can say that this is the best customer service I have ever had! I am a female who knows NOTHING about cars. I was on a cross country roadtrip when I started haveing engine trouble. I got to Madison, WI and needed the car fixed. I was terrified of being taken advantage of. All this was foreign to me as I did not have a car for most of my life. I called around to MANY transmission shops. When I found Midwest Engine Service I knew I was in the right place.
From the get go, I was reassured by the kind voice on the phone. I spoke with the owner, Wayne. He went over the issue with my transmission top to bottom. He spoke in laymen's terms, so I actually understood what he was saying. Not only did I feel comfortable trusting Midwest Engine, they gave me the best quote and fastest turn around! Wayne kept me informed step by step, as I was still trying to finish my roadtrip. It seemed I needed a new axle, so I added that to the work order. Again, Waynes' thoughtful words and actions helped keep me at ease.
When I got the call that the car was done, the price was even lower than the quote. This included the axle as well! I was so happy with the quality of work, the service and the trusting comfort they gave me. I was able to get back on the road the next morning.
Finally, I was leaving Madison. As I was driving out of town that following morning, I got a call from Wayne. I instantly thought he was going to say they needed the car back or something. Why else would they be calling? It was Wayne. He called to make sure the car was running smoothly and that I had made it out of town ok. He then told me he also called to wish me a safe rest of my trip. I felt blessed. I had definitely found the greatest mechanic and team. They are just lovely, honest and have human integrity. Thank you Wayne & the team.

Call mid-west auto repair up first stated they have the capacity to fix my vehicle? Called next day to say they weren’t interested on working on my car because of the make and model? If you offer a repair service would you think they would offer the service to everybody? Very disappointed in this business and how there choosing to do business? Consumer be where? What a joke!
