Olbrich Botanical Gardens offers a serene escape within 16 acres of beautiful outdoor gardens and the tropical Bolz Conservatory. Visitors can explore stunning landscapes and Midwest-hardy plants for free, with the outdoor gardens open daily from April to September (10 a.m. - 6 p.m.) and from October to March (10 a.m. - 4 p.m.). The Bolz Conservatory, featuring exotic plants, orchids, free-flying birds, and a waterfall, is open year-round for a small fee. The gardens provide a peaceful retreat any time of year, making it a perfect spot to relax and recharge, especially during the cold Wisconsin winters. Special events, such as Gleam and Cocktails in the Conservatory, add to its charm. With frequent art installations and light shows, Olbrich Botanical Gardens is truly a gem in Madison, inviting guests to enjoy nature and contribute to its upkeep through donations.
Lovely place to walk outside on a nice day and the indoor tropical garden is a beautiful lush retreat to visit during the winter months. I wish they had a cafe/coffee bar though.

Great way to get out of the city and enjoy a piece of calm and serenity. Good on a cold day, temperature can be really warm so plan to take off your coat.

Beautiful, wonderful place. It feels amazing to go into the conservatory in the winter and get a break from the cold and dryness outside.
