Was trying to get a quote to compare prices between PODS and other competitors, and while trying to do so online after answering all their questions (where we're moving to/from, phone number, email, etc.), they told us to call them. Why don't they just ask us to call to begin with? After calling the representatives, they forced us to commit booking a container right there and then by saying that if I come back later, price might not be the same and said that I could just call 3 days before if I want to cancel. Mind you this is not a small move, so of course I also wanted some time to think it through and discuss it with my husband. But since he insisted I ended up booking the container.When I decided to not go with them, trying to cancel has been such a long process. I was waiting on the line for 30 minutes when they said the wait time was supposed to be 10 minutes, until I just decided to get a call back. I finally received a call back, cancelled my service, but by the end of the day, I never got my cancellation confirmation and instead I still got an email saying to get ready for the PODS to come to my house.I spent more than 1 hr total on the phone and still am not sure if I have successfully canceled my reservation. This experience alone just made me not want to go with PODS regardless of their price. From trying to get a quote to trying to cancel service, the process hasn't been easy. Customer service representatives were nice though, I think they just need to improve their system.update: things have just gotten worse. still haven't gotten cancellation confirmation until today (4 days before the original container come). I contacted them again via chat yesterday, agent said that the chat was a confirmation of the cancellation (how can a chat be a confirmation??), but today I got an email reminder that my pods is still coming!! :') at this point I might just have to cancel my credit card to be sure that I don't get charged the day of.....

PODS staff was professional and helpful both on the phone when determining the order and placement of the POD, as well as the deliverer who communicated very well. My move was made easy with PODS and I would absolutely recommend their service to anyone.

This is a review for PODS as a whole and may not fully reflect Madison’s location. However my quote was taken from a local PODs. Since I had to call as they REFUSE to give a quote online. How anyone can afford to use PODS in a long distance move in beyond me. Over $3300 for a Midwest to East coast move? And for some unknown reason we can’t pack a motorcycle in the POD.. AND even if you don’t need it they charge a $500 monthly storage fee. UPack cost $2000 with a promised date, ability to pack a motorcycle inside the container, and ability to get a quote online. Will absolutely never use PODS.

I had a wonderful experience with PODS. The customer service was wonderful from the first call to the last. When I received the POD it was very clean. When the POD was returned everything was perfectly in tact. The pick up and delivery was on time.

They were amazing. Great communication, perfect delivery, move and pickup. Using pods gave me time to pack and load instead of having to rush in 1-2 days. Pricing was amazing. Stsff went out of their way to be helpful.

Was able to get the POD that I needed. Arrived and pickup was timely. Latch was a bit tough to use, but we managed.

Expensive, but the only large unit (16') that sits on the ground for easy loading. Excellent delivery drivers.

Do not recommend, they stole $700+ from me until I cancelled my card. I opened a ticket with their customer support center weeks ago and received no response. If you don't believe me, look up this company on the BBB site, they have countless reviews saying the exact same thing. DO NOT GIVE THIS COMPANY YOUR CARD NUMBER, THEY WILL STEAL MONEY FROM YOU.

The customer service have been friendly and helpful. Their prices are decent as were their estimated deliveries. The containers themselves were perfect sized for all your belongings to fit in safely.

I would never use Pods Moving and Storage again. The only positive was they delivered the pod unit on time. We were done using the pod a week early. I scheduled a pick up on Friday for Monday...nobody picked it up. I reached out to again and asked that it be removed Tuesday...no pick up again. I again contacted customer service and again requested the removal of the pod. It wasn't until that Thursday that they finally removed the pod, a month after receiving it. I'd like to know if removing the pod a week early would have meant a discount.

We just had our POD returned to us today after a 8+ month storage period. After reading some of the reviews of the Madison location, I was pretty skeptical on how today might go.I can happily report that it was delivered on the promised day, they called me 30 minutes prior to arrival (my request), and were efficient and professional. I had previously used PODS, so I was a bit surprised at some of the reviews, but today, I experienced nothing but good. Many thanks!

They assigned me a delivery date of July 22nd and that they had to pick up the POD by July 11th to move from Wisconsin to Virginia, then on the 22nd didn't hear from them after they missed my delivery time had to call to find out they couldn't locate my POD that it was in transit which had my entire 2 bedroom apartment in there, but they couldn't tell me where in transit. Then they proceeded to tell me that they will deliver it as soon as they get it. So called Saturday to be told they hadn't found it, but that they would mark on my file that if they got it it would be delivered on Monday the 25th, but for sure on Tuesday the 26th. So called Monday the 25th was told by an associate that they had located the POD and was at the storage facility on the 24th, but it wouldn't be delivered till the 26th even though the delivery group said they would deliver it on the 25th if they got it. So I called back later to see why they wouldn't deliver it only to be told they hadn't found the POD yet and that it was still in transit so someone was lying. They finally delivered it on the 26th around noon, but the help I had gotten to unload it already left because they were 4 days late so I got unload the POD by myself. Also it was impossible to get banking information changed. Had a card that expired so I went to update the info on website which it wouldn't do then called 4 different times for them to update the card info and their system still would try to run the expired card even after they supposedly changed the information. Would not recommend them for any transport try anyone else instead.
