Check your prices before you order. I ordered a few items on 12/21/24 and the order was shipped fairly quickly from two different warehouses. No big deal.... but
Received both boxes on the same day, one box had come open during shipping and one item was missing. I had to finagle my way through the website to get a refund for the missing item. Finally got that figured out and got my refund quickly.....however...
Was looking for additional parts for my truck today, 12/28/24 and decided to look up one of the parts I just ordered and received. I noticed the same part today has a price 81.00 cheaper than when I ordered it on 12/21/24.
I have been trying to contact them to see why such a price difference in a week. Still waiting for a response. So check those prices before you order.
I'll update my review if they contact me back and work something out.

They claim their pricing is based on what it costs to source the part ordered at the time of the order. Apparently they utilize the "demand" style pricing where prices change in a matter of minutes or hours. Looked up the part 3 or 4 days before ordering and it was close to the price listed today, but when I ordered, the price had increased by 81.00....I will no longer be ordering my parts from them. For an OEM Motorcraft part, at the price these guys charged, I could've gotten it in hand on the same day for 25.00 less....

tl;dr: great selection, great pricing.
I love that I have multiple options when shopping for car parts. Everything from generic no-name, to tier 1 part suppliers. Selection at national brick and mortar auto parts stores pales in comparison to what RockAuto gives me and I only buy from those places when it's an emergency or poor planning on my part.
But the best part is the significant savings. It's amazing how much cheaper it is even with standard shipping!
Anytime anyone ever asks where to look for parts, my default answer is RockAuto.

A package I ordered was delayed for over 10 days. After waiting and waiting, they finally sent me a replacement because the first one seemed completely lost. Fine, things happen. But then, out of nowhere, the original package shows up.
Now, instead of letting me move on, theyâve been hounding me every single day to either return it or purchase it. And hereâs the kicker: this wasnât even my faultâit was their mistake. But they wonât even offer to arrange a pickup for the return! Nope, I have to go out of my way to visit a FedEx location myself to send it back. And get thisâthey actually said that if I donât do it, theyâll block me from placing any future orders.
What makes this even worse? The tone of their emails. They werenât polite requestsâthey were straight-up demands. No apology, no acknowledgment of their mistake, just a bossy tone telling me to fix their problem or face consequences. I mean, wouldnât it make more sense to politely ask me for help instead of acting like theyâre doing me a favor? I canât believe a company this unprofessional has been around for 20 years. Unreal. Tsk tsk.

I ordered this fuel pump for my momâs car, to change over the holiday break. When I opened the box, it immediately smelled old fuel. My entire living room smelled of fuel. It was immediately obvious you did not verify I was getting the NEW fuel pump I had ordered, but someoneâs old used pump. I am pretty upset that you do not look at the returns you get back, and just re-enter them into inventory.
On top of this, you have no way for a customer to explain what is going on. You only offer a few prearranged answers, to a few prearranged reasons for the return. YOU should have a option to talk to your customers, especially when THE PROBLEM IS SOMETHING YOU CREATED!!!!
On top of this, you only allow a FedEx shipping label. This is fine of there is a FedEx office in the town where customers live. In my case, the next town that has a FedEx office is 30 minutes/40 mile away. This is going to cost me time and fuel, which you are not offering to pay for. Or, I can pay to have a different carrier deliver. Amazon kicks your asses on delivery time and returns, and shipping isnât free no matter where one shops online.
Because of this entire set of completely preventable circumstances, which are YOUR FAULT, I choose to on longer buy from ROCKAUTO.COM
Unsatisfied non-returning customer of 15 plus years.

Very bad experience with customer service and they also don't have customer service by phone. There are people who are not very good with computers and don't understand many steps. We couldn't return a part because we didn't understand how to return it. We lost our money.
How is it possible that I have to buy a new catalytic converter to get my money back? That brand I bought came with defects.
