after today, i will not return. in the past i’ve been frustrated because many associates here have seemed rude in the past and/or had strong B.O. this location also attracts a lot of people in the parking lot or by the doors asking for money so it doesn’t usually feel safe or pleasant to shop here. but today was the last straw. I was disappointed to see that like the soaps, the toilet paper that is not “walgreens” brand requires you to buzz a button for an associate to grab the item. In the past when buying body wash the associate would hand it to me so I could grab any other items and then check out but last time they said I had to retrieve it at the register (this made me feel like they thought i was going to steal it which doesn’t make any sense as they just had my face on camera in front of the body washes for several minutes while waiting for the associate but ok…). I then wait in line for longer than I would’ve needed to had they not locked everything because by the time the soap was retrieved and I got to the front, a line had formed. Today, I was relieved after buzzing the button an associate came pretty quickly. I politely asked for the one I’m requesting, pointing right at the picture and saying the info aloud. When they return they walk like they are bee-lining back to the register so i say “that should be all i need. should i just follow you to the register?” and they say “ok”. i wait in line behind someone else now because the cashier had to walk away to grab the product for me. while waiting i grab a word search that appears to be $2. well i buy my items, forgetting to look at the toilet paper because she has it turned toward her and had offered to bag it for me. but i do see i was charged $11 for a word search instead of the $2 i thought it was posted for. i ask to return the word search & they say ok but then help a different person in line after me before processing my return. weird... then these other customers (a family, 2 adults with kids) come in line and put their stuff on the counter when there clearly wasn't space yet for them to do so. The kids bump me several times so i firmly say “please give me space. i do not want to be touched” and the parents and associate look at me like i’m the one being rude. this wouldn’t have happened if the return was processed instead of helping someone else behind me in line but whatever… the associate does get to the return, i go home, just to see i had been given the wrong toilet paper. irritated, i drive back to exchange it and the manager exchanges it for me. the employee who originally checked me out sees me & says “oh that’s not the right one?” and i say “nope this is lavender scented, i can’t use this” and she says a half hearted sounding “sorry”. the whole experience today was so frustrating in addition to previous annoyances here that i won’t be returning ever again.

After today I will never come to this pharmacy again. I called to see if I could have a prescription filled and spoke to a nice young man named Zane. He asked me to contact my doctors office and have them to have the prescript filled at this location since they had enough to fill my script today. He also asked me to call back after I have done so. I did as he asked with my doctors office and called back as instructed only this time a woman named Kerry answered my call. Before I could finish my sentence “Ms. short tempered” cut me off before I could finish my sentence to inform me that she has 25 prescriptions to fill. In no way was I asking her to service me before others, but her tone and her “like I said” comment were uncalled for. I know how hard pharmacist work, but if Ms. short tempered is overwhelmed, overworked and has NO customer service skills maybe she is in the wrong profession. I understand that people can be rude and demanding and maybe that’s who she is used to dealing with, however, I was not one of those people and DO NOT appreciate being handled or talked to in such a way. I do appreciate the young man who went out of his way to help me and he didn’t have to. She could learn from him.

I've had a lot of struggles with the pharmacy in the past. I've put prescriptions in and been called and texted that they were ready and they weren't ready when I arrived.. and for a while they were closed daily due to short staffing and I would go days or even weeks without my medication waiting for them to randomly be open when I'm available.
The person in the pharmacy today, Jaden, helped me promptly and kindly. My prescription wasn't ready again, but he filled it asap. I really appreciated it And he definitely restored my mentality about getting my prescriptions filled here. It looks like the staff they have on now is going to be really good for their business. Thanks man 👍🏻

This pharmacy has gone to crap. I'm sorry but this has been my pharmacy for 30 years now and these last couple of years especially the service, their cut hours and the pharmacists attitudes are so awful that I have to fund sundowner else. The pharmacist gets ill and they shut down without warning people stuck without their needed medications.
I had to wait until they reopened to get my antibiotic. Two days later I had 3 prescriptions due for refill and again they closed. They left the prescriptions in the system in such a way that I couldn't move them to another Walgreens. The doctor even tried to help but couldn't because of then saying I'm the system that You denied because I was attempting to refill them early. Not true! That was on time and that's how they left it. Insurance wouldn't touch it. I just couldn't believe it. It was the last straw. Two days later and I could finally fill them and they're with attitude to deal with at the pharmacy when the situation was explained and asked if they could close things like that out if they know they're not coming back. It is what it is is what you get told. That is not the first time I've had to deal with their attitude or their mess ups. There have been many and so I'm leaving them finally. I do not recommend them to anyone.

If I could give a negative review I would. Find a different pharmacy! This one is rude and will shut the window on you even if you have been in line since before they closed and just tell you that they are closed. Worst customer service! They should not be allowed to hold people’s medication hostage for days!

Thank you to the pharm tech working during my visit. As I am underinsured, my medication would’ve been far more expensive if it weren’t for him looking for coupons and rebates to make my prescription affordable.

I have been picking up my prescriptions here for about three years now, ever since I moved to Madison to go to college, and I can honestly say I’ve never had a pharmacy go above and beyond for me the way this Walgreens has. I can call them and ask for help with any problems I run into *and I’ve gone through losing my health insurance* and I have never felt any judgement. They’ve always always done anything they can to help me. I appreciate it so much and the thoughtfulness of the pharmacists here have genuinely helped me continue to stay healthy and get the prescriptions I need. I just won’t ever run out of good things to say about how the staff has treated me here. I highly recommend this pharmacy, they all deserve a raise!!

I had a young gentleman pharmacist answer the phone yesterday and it’s so refreshing to speak with someone who’s one step ahead. He was so quick and thorough and I didn’t have to keep explaining myself- he knew exactly what I needed and was able to assist me almost instantly. A true 5 star experience because of this man. Thank you for making my day easier.

I don’t know about all of the negative reviews for this Walgreens. I can’t speak about the experiences of those people. We have been going to that Walgreens for over 20 years. The pharmacists always take excellent care of us. The rest of the staff does their best to help us and find anything that we’re looking for.
