I am the fortunate owner of a beautiful Multicolores hooked rug from Cultured Cloth. I often think it is almost a shame to step on such a work of art. It makes you think about the artist who made it and what influenced her design. We have several other items from Culural Cloth, all of which are treasured because of the quality and the stories they carry.

Since I first visited the store 5 years ago, Cultural Cloth. has become my on-line go to for shopping. CC does a great job assisting and shipping, their products are lovely, and their cause is just. My friends appreciate the gifts and these wonderful women.5 STARS!

Absolutely fantastic products and people! I live in OKC and have only shopped and purchased long distance ... but the customer service is impeccable. Sign-up for the emails too -- it's a great way to "get to know" the owners and learn more of the background on all the wares.

I love supporting women around the world with every purchase. The selection is well curated—many of my favorite rugs and objects have come from Cultural Cloth.

When friends visit us in the driftless area, I always bring them to Cultural Cloth. I am not a big shopper (I have all I need, and I’ve seen it all) however, CC is an amazing retail experience that also happens to be a social enterprise. When I walked into CC the first time, I knew that I actually have not seen it all. I’ve purchased one of a kind scarves, pillow covers, gifts for others and my friends have purchased much more. It is the BEST retail shopping in the upper Midwest. And to top it off, they are in quaint Maiden Rock overlooking the Mississippi’s Lake Pepin—worth the drive. Eye candy inside and outside!

This is an extraordinary shop: a beautifully curated collection of textiles from around the world. These are free and fair trade in the best sense: they created by artisans with whom Cultural Cloth owners Jody and Maryanne work collaboratively to develop textiles and craftwork of very high quality. Shop online or in Maiden Rock, WI. What a remarkable source for artisan vendors and those who admire their work.

Cultural Cloth is a welcoming haven of diverse art from across the globe. They are truley weaving communities together by supporting small local enterprise in distant lands and distributing handmade articles. I have the pleasure to now live nearby the Maidan Rock storefront so can visit frequently to enjoy the changing museumlike displays and find unique gifts and home decor.

Amazing project and a must see when in the area - or well worth a special trip! The artistry is beautiful. Like traveling all over the world thru folk art, right here in the Midwest!

Cultural Cloth is such a unique shop! Beautifully curated hand made items from all over the world. Lovely things you'll want to wear/use every day and some extra special pieces for your wall or display area. Knowing that you are supporting women artisans in a particularly challenging world is an extra added bonus. Warm, inviting, knowledgeable staff. Free ground shipping on most items.

Received an item as a gift that was lovely but not my style. Staff would not allow me to exchange it for an item that I would use. I DO NOT recommend buying an item as a gift since their return/exchange policy is extremely limiting and inflexible. Very disappointing for an organization with a great mission.
