Horrible experience trying to get information on purchasing a snowblower. We called 3 times to be put on hold only to have the call dropped every time. We called a 4th time to ask not to be put on hold and talk to anyone who could help us. We were told our request was not possible? Horrible customer service. I guess they can afford to lose a sale of over a grand.

I had an issue with a product that was not part of their normal return/exchange process - the product was dead out of the box - and the manufacturer was not supporting the product or providing Lowe's with an RMA to return the defective product. The corporate and store staff stepped up to the plate to support their customers, and have gone above and beyond to get me a working product. The second one they ordered (to replace the DOA unit) was damaged by the common-carrier shipper, so they ordered a THIRD unit, which has just been delivered, and WORKS! Amazing staff; very friendly and knowledgable, and willing to get issues solved.

I went there today to return my 1 year old shrub that was dead. One person waited on me while another looked on. She keyed it in (I had my reciept) she said it was 4 days past 1 year so they would not return it. I went on to say that over the years we had spent boat loads of money there. The girl looking seemed to enjoy saying it was too late. I left the shrub and walked out. I came right back in hopes of speaking with a manager. I asked where the plant was and she pointed to the garbage and told me if I wanted it, it was right there. I asked to speak with a manager. The manager was rude and would not budge. I told her the one workedrwas very rude and at that time the other worker said I was rude. I simply wanted a refund or a lowes gift card. I ended telling the manager how I worked retail for many years and never treated customers the way she did. Lowes is losing a good customer because I will never shop there again. Word of mouth travels very fast.

The store has a new store manager and service is much improved since visiting in the summer. It also looks cleaner, more organized and the shelves are full. The Christmas selection was outstanding with probably 40 artificial trees on display to choose from. We were there on Black Friday, Santa and an elf greeted us, there was only a short wait in the check out... way better than other stores we shopped. We bought a dishwasher that was almost half price after all the discounts AND it was in stock for us to take home. We will definitely be back, it was like a new store experience.

Too bad I even had to leave one star. Went to buy several appliances and walked around for over five minutes and only one older guy was sitting at a desk and he never spoke. I kept looking around and he never budged or offered any help. Just sat there collecting his pay without doing a thing. Well. Guess what Lowes loss was Menards gain. I won't be back to be treated like that. This isn't how you treat customers whether they are spending even a dollar let alone several thousand. And from the looks of things they could do with some sales.
