Banking here for over 25 years. I have never been able to obtain a loan here. I have gone to other banks no problem. When asked the President of the bank what the deal was, he was very short, rude. Waste of time. Like many banks in this area every asset. Is rapped up in the Dells area businesses. Small business or personal loans never happen except for the very few who want to over collecteral their loans. Goine from the bank. No excuse for this in 25 years at a banks who carried my checking.

I have a been very pleased with the staff and all their services. One of the few banks with a small home town feeling that is down to earth but still maintaining a professional appearance . This is a great bank for personal loans too!

I've had three different investment property loans with them, and Jackie is always amazing! They get papers done in a timely fashion, she responds quickly to my questions, and goes above and beyond to be make it work! I wish they had a branch in my town, I would dump my current bank in a heartbeat.

I've always thought the staff at the Bank of Mauston were helpful, efficient, competent and friendly. This option was underscored several years ago when I took over my mother's finances and had to deal with multiple banks in Chicago. Transactions in Chicago banks took a minimum of 45 minutes to 4 hours (no exaggeration) after we sat down with a personal banker. Efficiency and competence were scarce. As I was able I moved Mom's accounts to the Bank of Mauston. We've used the Bank of Mauston to finance homes, park savings and make investments. I think we are fortunate to have this bank system in our communities.

It's been 10 days since my parents past away and we still can't get the will. Today we obtained lawyer who is going to start dealing with bank when they have time this week. This hassle has been awful. We buried them without knowing their wishes for burial 😢 We are trying to move forward and deal with this. If we had the keys to open it this would have been less of an issue but none of us can find them. The Bank of Mauston - Cindy & Barb who are in charge have made it very clear that without keys they will not allow us access. We have been told if they have to drill it - we will pay. They will only work with us if we have 3 things. 1. Death certificates - which we do not because we can't get them till autopsy is done. 2. Keys that go to security deposit box 3. Lawyer Than they will decide when it's convenient for them to have one of us come. Barb has told me she has never experienced something like this before, I'm not sure if she should be in charge based on my experience. The lack of empathy from these people makes me hope I never have to deal with them again. We've seen the bank statement. My parents have paid almost $40 month for something that at some point her children would need. They wanted to make sure their wishes were protected and would be available at the time it meant the most, which this bank has failed at miserably. All we wanted was to know their burial wishes. That is all. This bank is hoping for another month's payment which is truly sad on their part.
