Clean facility. Some of the machines are weird configurations (leg curl is prone instead of seated, thigh inner/outer are the same machine meaning the ergonomics are off). Overall a pretty good deal.

I have been going to Anytime Fitness in Monona for a number of years now and recently I switched to Anytime Fitness McFarland and my experiences here have been great. The staff in McFarland are always pleasant and more than helpful. I feel like they are truly invested in me as a person and they want me to be the best I can be. I always feel a sense of satisfaction when I leave the small group training because I showed up and survived. It’s a good feeling!

So there are several factors that go into this review, I’ll do an overall rating of the main amenities to start.Equipment: 8.5/10Staff Friendliness + Knowledge: 9.7/10Gym Cleanliness: 9/10Atmosphere/Workout Environment: 5-7/10So I’ve been a member with Anytime Fitness for the longest out of any of my (gym) memberships, at least 10 years, I’d say between 10-15 years. This location in particular I’ve been with for quite awhile, seen a few renovations, as well as reorganization of equipment and such. The only real “issues” I experience with this gym boil down to two things, the price, and the environment.I believe for what you’re getting with the “standard” membership, if you’re willing to commit to a year contract the price is worth around $30 a month, if you’re doing month-month I would say it’s worth $35-40, depending on the time of day that you go to the gym there are some people who slam weights consistently throughout their workouts, I don’t expect everyone to be able to have control over the weights they use in the gym all the time, but Anytime Fitness isn’t a powerlifting gym, at least not advertised or branded as such. When I do my workouts and someone across the gym is slamming the weight after every rep, for 4 sets, changing exercises then doing the same thing for 4-5 sets, throughout their whole workout, that’s when I start to have an issue. I get using a good weight for your workouts but people are sensitive to loud and unexpected noises in particular.I don’t know what can “be done” aside from signs? I just know that slamming weights in a gym for an hour consistently is problematic for me, I’ve left without finishing my workouts on several occasions for this reason.Overall, I would say if you can workout at Anytime during the hours of 10am-5pm Mon-Fri you’re pretty safe, but outside of those hours it’s pretty difficult to assure you won’t have someone in the gym slamming weights.

I was absolutely blown away by how nice this gym is. I’ve been to a lot of Anytime’s, none of which impressed me. The McFarland gym really changed my prospective! And the managers were super cool :)

A very fine club! I recently had a chest day there and the atmosphere and cleanliness were top notch. The club manager Jadon was also incredibly friendly!

I’ve been attending classes for the past year at Anytime Fitness – McFarland. The team coaches have been tremendous. They work with me weekly to balance my weight training, with my heavy endurance training outside of the gym. We tailor the exercises and lbs based on injury, strain and upcoming race schedules. Jack will always ask “Where we at?”, and we hash it out. I couldn’t be happier with the personal approach, and focused attention. Great place, with great staff. Plus, he let’s my complain about getting older for a good 5 mins before it’s time to get to work. ?
