“I have only been to Great Lakes Veterinary Clinic a few times over the years for specific OFA exrays. This particular dog is very anxious at the Vets office, which I made them aware of before hand. The entire staff and Dr. Randy made the visit a much stressful experience by suggesting sedation for the films. It was very quick, he got very nice exrays and my dog did not have to experience a negative experience or stay there for the entire afternoon. I was able to take him home within 30 mins. If I lived closer I would definitely choose Great Lakes for my primary vet needs.”

“We have been seeing Dr. Randy at Great Lakes Veterinary Clinic since 1998. He is a great vet, approachable, knowledgeable, and good with both the animals and the people. He also goes the extra mile. During a standard Senior Dog visit, he though he saw something on the edge of an x-ray. He took extra views (at his expense) and found she had an enlarged spleen. Had it burst, she probably would have died. Her spleen was removed and we had 4 more years with her.
His staff is just as good.
I fully recommend Great Lakes and Dr. Randy.”

“For over 20 years We have been taking all our rescue cats for their regular and as needed veterinarian visits to Animal Medical Center of Appleton. We feel very blessed and well cared for. Once again we had a wonderful visit for a change in condition in our 11 year old Princess. She had a seizure and this was her first. The arrangement for care and the visit were, as always appropriately provided by kind and competent staff. The multiple health issues Princess has makes a thorough assessment with gathering history and changes in Princess's behavior, routine as well as symptoms, diet, mobility, etc. necessary. I have always felt the staff are patient, thorough, and use critical thinking skills to gather health history, determine and discussing wanted testing, and needs of patient and family for the comfort and peace of mind for all. This team weathers all changes and continues to deliver outstanding care for our pets; our family.”

Chose them because they were within walking distance of my house and 12+ years later I am so proud to have them helping take care of my precious pet. Dr Shepherd is the lone vet in a busy practice so quick appointments can be tricky to schedule. They keep emergency appointments available for day-of care which I've had to utilize 10+ times, always getting my pet thoroughly examined”

Poor guy may have testicular cancer so we had to get him a cone and the staff were very helpful and kind to him. Truly appreciate the staff here. “Dr. James is the most caring best vet. I will only have her take care of my pets. I made the mistake of allowing blood work up to be done by another and my girl collapsed and never recovered. Dr. James helped me with giving her a couple more weeks. I am devastated to lose my best friend, thirteen years was not enough time.”
