We chose the preserve for our wedding ceremony and reception. Overall, it was a very nice and beautiful wedding. Our complaints were that communication was poor and the manager could have been more helpful with decision making efforts. We also found out that we didn't receive our late night pizza which was part of our package and disappointing but they did reimburse us after we brought it to their attention. In my opinion, they should have realized their mistake and reached out to us first.

Recently there with a group of maybe 48 to 50 people... all who had tenderloin tips and noodles.. it was cold and barely a handful of tips noodles but tons of cold peas . Then those who had pecan crusted OVERDONE cold tough chicken. The meals were awful!

Decently challenging course that was in pretty good shape. The beverage cart service was solid. I wish the pro shop was better stocked but not a big deal.

Nice course! The drink carts come around every few holes. The course is challenging enough.

Haven't been to Silver Spring in quite a few years but my wife and I went there for a round of golf and had a great time. It was fitting as our wedding reception was there 28 years ago. Thanks!

My husband and I has our wedding hosted here this weekend. When we first booked with Silver Spring, we worked with 4 different event managers and were never informed of the changes for any of the transitions in managers - we had to reach out to see why were weren’t getting responses. The package options were very simple and clear, but be prepared for there to be an increase in package price with short notice. We decided to have our rehearsal dinner at silver spring and booked the wine cellar specifically. When we showed up for the rehearsal, we were then notified that they decided to switch it to the ball room - we were not notified of this change ahead is time. Although I understand they are doing some renovations (I am assuming this is the reason why it changed without notice), we spent a lot of money on the rehearsal and feel as though we should have been kept in the loop on the change in room/space. The Italian buffet was good, nothing special. The day of the wedding they were a couple hiccups that were disappointing - the event manager was not able to be located for questions or things needed for the majority of the evening. The bar services was very disappointing. They completely messed up our open bar ( didn’t start our open bar when we paid for it) and the bartenders did not mention drink options that were complementary to guests at all, even when we asked them too. The bartenders were rude and complained that guests were rude; however, there was always a constant long line of guests looking for a drink with two bartenders for 100 guests. Dinner was decent - beef was very good, chicken was dry and seemed as though it was just heated up chicken. Dinner service was average - they missed serving random people at tables and it took about 45 minutes for 105 guests to get served their plate). At the end of the evening we were rushed to get out of the building even though we were told we had a certain amount of time to get things cleaned up.Floral was great and would recommend Carrie for any in-house floral needs. Venue itself was beautiful. Bride and grooms suites were spacious and nice spaces for getting ready and leaving belongings during the wedding. Although we enjoyed our wedding, I would not recommend this venue for a wedding event. If you have a day-of-coordinator outside of silver spring manager, it makes things doable. Be prepared to take the lead on asking questions to get information, have the expectation for things to be a bit unorganized, and you needing to monitor everything and employees to make sure everything is executed correctly for what you paid for.

As a long time golf athlete with a great deal of golf experience, I would rate Silver Spring as a moderate course. I shot a 98 on the front nine of the Falls course this past year: significantly below my nine hole average of a 109. With that said, I recommend Silver Spring to all who are ready to endure a challenge yet have some fun. Overall, a great course with delightful golf.

My husband and I recently got married here in June of 2022. While we had an amazing day there are things throughout the process and after that disappointed me. We went through 3 different event planners which made things very difficult. Our second one we loved but we didn’t even know she was leaving until I reached out through finding out on Facebook. Our third and final event planner told us we had to have a head count when we chose buffet style dinner. Why does there need to be a head count for buffet? We also had late night pizza but, they never announced it when it came out. It was just there and we didn’t have any. My photographer stepped on a nail during my husband and I’s first look (please make sure your grounds are kept up to date and are safe). We signed a contact but yet, we had to pay more because of food increase (which fine I understand but what was the point of signing a contract?). And lastly, our wedding cake was THROWN OUT without anyone telling us. We still had so much of it left and the kitchen just threw it out. My husband and I didn’t even get to take it home, they decided to throw it out on their own. I never got my cake stand back because the kitchen claimed they “lost it.” I was told to be back early the next day to get my stuff because they said it would be safe and we could get it back. Well, that was a lie and my husband, father in law, and friends were back the next day by 7 AM. We did not get an apology or even a reimbursement for my items I trusted them with that they lost. I left the manager voicemails and I never got a call back. The only person that called me back and communicated with me was the florist, Carrie (she is AMAZING). Overall, I do not know if I would recommend or at least recommend you bring your own stuff because it will either be thrown out or become lost. Also, make sure you look over your contact because in the end they really screwed us with our prices.

Nice venue for a banquet / party. The bar is separate from the dining area. Nice selection of cigars. Helpful staff.

My husband's Christmas party is here every year. Such a wonderful location for a night out!The bar staff is amazing. Very patient, dealing with an open bar and a room full of construction workers! You deserve a medal! The building is clean and well-kept. Many bathroom options on each end of the hall. Coat check is a plus.Large parking lot.

Had daughters wedding there Oct 2022. Scenery was beautiful, rooftop service-beautiful. Staff were very nice. Unfortunately, there were many things lacking. Most people are not experts in having weddings. We rely on the hall to make things go smoothly. First of all-price increase of 20% nine months before wedding. Who can find another venue in that amount of time? Not ok- but we were stuck and they knew it. Rehearsal dinner-poor guidance as to how the flow and transitions work. Wedding dinner-very sparse lettuce on plate as well as only a couple drops of dressing-heard from many people about this. Desserts were put on 2 different tables, on 2 different walls. Most people didnt even know there was cake, just saw the pastry table. The staff should have announced that or walked around with cake. Things like-how do we handle the prayer or when does dad make his speech? -Never addressed. Again, we haven't done this before and it is their job to guide us or step in. We were on our own. Very disappointed.

I'm giving the island course 5 stars because I thought the layout was great. It had the right amount of challenge with elevation, water, sand and doglegs. Even though fall had arrived, the course was in good condition. There was a nice practice area and driving range, but the pro shop was pretty sparse. I didn't use the rest of the "clubhouse." The guy who checked me in was super nice and I appreciated the senior rate he offered. Would love to come back in the summer.
