The two men I got showed up within 15 minutes of the target time, and worked straight through to get the move done as quickly and safely as possible. They were courteous and easy to deal with. No complaints. Would recommend.

I chose GP because of favorable reviews in my neighborhood. I can't disagree at all! The two movers were punctual and personable. While I only had about a dozen items that had to be transported, a few were heavy or bulky. Some were both. The movers had no difficulty with anything, and the entire job was completed more quickly than I could have imagined. I plan to use GP again when the time comes for our major move.

I've used these movers over and over and recommend them to my family and my clients.
They are on time, friendly, cooperative, communicative and very hard working!
For this particular move they were able to quickly troubleshoot how to move a complicated item and graciously adapted to the extra challenges of moving an older person to a senior living facility.

Three strong and very careful young men moved my mother's (very heavy) piano from Madison to Baraboo, up and down stairs and through tight doorways on both ends of the move. They were so professional, courteous and did a truly impressive job all around. Would highly recommend!

My experience with General Purpose Movers was entirely positive. I hired them to help my brother and his wife move from their condo to a nearby senior living apartment and all went smoothly. The two young men who came arrived on time and were very friendly, polite, efficient, and careful. General Purpose Moving offered my brother and sister-in-law, both of whom are disabled vets, a veteran's discount on their moving fee which was really helpful to them with their tight budget. I highly recommend General Purpose Movers!

This will be my 2nd time using General Purpose Movers in 2 years and I will use them on my next moves, if I have any. They are by far the cheapest, most upfront and reliable company I have come across in the area for moving, and I am a low income mom on a budget so this says a lot.

The move was very smooth and carefully done. They were very careful in handling the large objects and made sure it is not hitting anywhere in the house. We had to move to a new house and they took care of the movement like a breeze. I have used General purpose movers 2 times in the last 4 years and they are very professional and efficient in moving.
