As a resident of NJ I expected to have a difficult time making arrangements for a loved one that had passed in Madison, WI. Fast forward to Gunderson Funeral Home whom I was referred to. From my initial phone call to discussions with planners and directors, Gunderson made the process easy and comforting. Communication was constant from start to finish and they even surprised me with the opportunity for aftercare at my request. I highly recommend Gunderson Funeral Home to anyone that requires compassionate and personalized care in a time of need.

Everyone at Gunderson was great to work with including Skylar Gunderson and Meagan. They answered all my questions and kept me informed through every step. I’m very satisfied with their services dealing with my wife’s passing.

Gunderson funeral home did a wonderful job with my mother’s memorial service. They were very compassionate and helpful. They explained everything in detail. Gunderson even provided me with help notifying agencies and financial institutions about my mother’s death.

This was my first time planning a funeral although my family has been going with Gunderson for years.
I was very stressed, but Skyler and staff took all my stress away and handled everything perfectly. We had a wonderful day visiting with friends and family.
I had a long list of things that needed to be done afterwards and met with After Care.
They are doing the majority of the work which I am so grateful for.

An extended group of cousins recently celebrated the lives of our favorite aunt and uncle, Betty and Spence, who lived full lives rich in experiences until their late 90s. They gave us an incredible gift by thoroughly pre-planning and communicating their final wishes to Gunderson and their church, Our Redeemer Lutheran. Christina, Rachel and Jill (and many others behind the scenes at Gunderson) took care of all the details so that family members and friends could spend time with each other at the visitation, memorial service at the church, and luncheon. They continue to provide guidance and support to the family as we continue to grieve and celebrate our dear aunt and uncle. Thanks to Gunderson for making this difficult time a bit easier for us all.

Gunderson was very caring after our loss of my husband's sister. They were comforting and answered all are concerns. They discussed all our options and stayed in contact with us on all the plans.
The after care program was very helpful and helped take some of are stress away.

Gunderson has been wonderful to work with! I have been nothing but impressed from the initial meeting to pre-plan for my mom, to the meeting after her passing, the preparation for her burial, the day of her burial, and the access to free help to get her finances in order! I live in Rochester, NY. My beloved Aunt went into hospice care in Madison, WI earlier this year. At this time, I contacted GFH upon the recommendation of a minister friend in the Madison area. They were very responsive, informative and answered all my questions.
When my Aunt passed in June, GFH provided caring, efficient and competent cremation services. My funeral director, Stephanie VonBehren, timely answered all my calls and emails. I would not hesitate to recommend GFH to others.
