5 minutes was enough to tell me not to come in ever again.the second i walked in, i was greeted by a lady who first of all looked at me rather surprised (like if she could not trust me), and i walked around and asked where to go and where the whole area was (she did not say anything). I was looking for a typewriter of any sorts that was RATIONALLY priced (it was for using or repair if i needed to), and even though there was a whole lot of them in the office, but then i was greeted by a tall man who even though he did not say anything he obviously had a problem with someone looking around. I ask about the typewriters and i see 3... 3?! all of them were in DECENT condition but the lowest they went for one of the most unreliable and ugliest machines for $138. the others were either in the $200-$300 even the underwood portable which is one f the most common machines they made. Antiques2modern (although messy and random priced) seemed 30x more nice and reasonable than 5 minutes (might have been less now that i thing about it) here

this would be no stars if it were possible. a particularly bad experience. entering was met by a receptionist that was less than pleasant. when i mentioned that the T key link was broken was told that she doesn't know anything about typewriters that the person who works on them would be in the office only for the next two days. if i wanted it looked at i would have to leave a $25 and tax deposit for an estimate. the following day i was informed that it couldn't be repaired. i asked about my deposit where he said it would be returned. coming to pick up my typewriter they would not refund the money saying that i could put the money toward another typewriter - i looked around and not only were they in bad shape obviously he didn't back his workmanship as they only came with a 10 day warranty. left $25 and tax poorer. by reference i went to another typewriter repair stated the same problem but this time i was received by the owner, he said - without having to pay $25 it couldn't be repaired. he was friendly, welcoming, the typewriters for sale were in better condition with longer warranties. he said he could have taken the typewriter in the back and came back saying that it was beyond repair and pocket $25 but felt that unethical. the surely buffer at ace seems to be a way for them making a quick profit at the expense of good will and business practice.

Very nice and understanding people. If you need to get that old Type writer back into shape, or have that printer that is not working quite right fixed, these friendly people are their to help!

Richard is a genius with old typewriters! He brought my old manual typewriter back into useable condition. Richard is very upfront with what can and cannot be repaired. I appreciated his correct evaluation of my machine. I'm having a great time typing on my nostalgic oldie. Thank you! Highly recommend.

I picked up a 1940s manual typewriter that my neighbor was giving away. How to get it fixed up though? Ace to the rescue! They cleaned it, serviced it and got it in great shape. The price was reasonable too.

Took my ribbon spool to be replaced with new inked ribbon and he only gave me much less ribbon on my spool at full charge.

Horrible experience......My husband called yesterday for pricing for a fax and a young lady answered and told him that it was $1 per page. So the next morning me, my husband and son walked in. I did not get an hello, how are you or anything just a blank stare. I said hello and the blank stare continued Red flag there, anyway I asked for a fax and she told us that it will be $2. My husband interrupted me and stated that he talked to someone yesterday and she told me $1 per page. And she proceeded and said it was me you talked to and I told you $2. I had to calm myself down and just simply said thank you and walked out. This particular business give small business a very bad name. I will not step foot in this so-called establishment and will make sure everyone I know will not spend money here. Terrible service don't like to bring up race but I'm pretty sure if I was white it will be a different story.??????
