My consultant and point of contact (Landon and Vanessa) throughout the process were great. Accurate pricing that didn’t increase, and great communication during my cross country relocation.
No issues upon delivery with the Allied affiliates in my new town - they were polite, accommodating and just as professional as the Allied and Coakley folks in Milwaukee.
It’s important to be sure to pack your boxes thoughtfully, and try not to move pricey or fragile items this way since our move was 1,700 miles, took 2 weeks to receive (we knew this right upfront), and was on three different trucks from point A to B.
Luckily we didn’t move any items of great value (we took those in our cars), so we cannot speak to what the claims experience might’ve looked like, but I can say that it was a smooth and stress-free experience regarding Allied and their affiliates.

Dealing with Allied was great. Took a lot of worry off my mind for a cross country move. Landon, the sales person was great. Was able to schedule time and give me a quote quickly. He was super responsive. Vanessa was great following up on the details and schedule. The moving crew took great care of my items, furniture, etc. They worked quickly and efficiently both loading and unloading. All in all it was a great experience!

The process started out with a very comprehensive inventory of what we had. The sales person even said he had been only 12lbs off on a recent home. Imagine how surprised I was when they contacted me after loading and said they were 4000 lbs over the estimate. That was a 40% increase and miss by what they estimated. Everything has been down hill ever since. They arrived two hours late to load and seven hours late to unload. The driver had an excuse for everything except now when we have so much damage. We had to pay 110% of the estimate before they would show up at our new house. Now we head into the real problems. A $2000 leather loveseat with a 5” gash in the side, an Ethan Allen armoire with a 8” scratch and a broken metal leg off of a West Elm chair. That is only the beginning of what was damaged or missing. I have sent the list in twice but am being ghosted.So disappointed in Allied and the industry. I wish I could at least get the $500 back I gave out in tips. Imagine tipping and then finding the damage. The whole thing is a disaster.

We’ve moved multiple times across the country as well as locally. This was by far the best experience we’ve ever had with a moving company. Communication was very good, driver & crews at both point of origin & destination were professional, courteous and took care great with our household goods.

Fabulous mover! Bob was professional, communicative, and courteous with my move. Vanessa also communicated well with the details. I would highly recommend Allied again for a cross country move.

We moved a total of 22,000 pounds 1,000 miles this month. Service was excellent! Allied arranged for "shuttle" trucks to meet the semi and transport our goods to our narrow destination street. No items so far have been found to be broken. A couple of items were shipped upside down but no harm done. Recommend highly!

The estimated quote and weight was exact!! The truck was on time with excellent movers. Very professional. The truck delivered our things in a few days in another state. The movers that unloaded the truck were fantastic. The staff at allied were reachable and communicated with every step.

Moving can be very stressful, but every point of contact was spot-on… the sales rep, the truck driver, and the physical movers were so very helpful. They asked questions to clarify and provided great answers to my questions throughout the process. There were no surprises to deal with along the way. So appreciate everyone involved with my move. Would definitely use them again and recommend to friends and family.

Allied in Milwaukee did a very nice job throughout the whole move process - quoting, pickup at origin (Milwaukee) and delivery at destination (San Francisco Bay Area). Very professional and set proper expectations on timing and cost. I had to follow-up a few times for payment and the delivery team was super helpful but it was a bit chaotic checking off all the items. All in all though I would highly recommend this firm to anyone looking for a long haul mover.

The Coakley Brothers movers in Milwaukee showed care when packing, loading and unloading our household goods. However, their price was increased about 12% from the original quote with no real explanation. In addition, they lost a large rug and a few smaller items while in storage.The Allied over-the-road semi delivery driver and the unloading crew were fabulous. They were prompt, courteous and showed true care with our items, and truly wanted us to be satisfied! We certainly would recommend Allied as a long distance moving company!

I could not have been happier with my move from Milwaukee, Wisconsin to Austin, Texas. Coakley brothers (Allied's agent) came in and packed everything in under four hours; a feat that would have taken me weeks to accomplish. Well worth the price! My belongings were handled a lot because the driver assigned to my load could not be there at my home for loading. So first, everything was loaded into a local van and two days later was transferred to the driver's trailer. Upon arrival in Austin, the driver had to rent a small moving truck to be able to get into my apartment complex, therefore moving my belongings again. And finally moving everything into my new home. Thanks, Mario! You're the best! I have now unpacked everything and the only casualty was a shelf made of pressed particle board. Hardly a loss. I would recommend Allied Van Lines to anyone needing moving services.
