“I have used South Shore Gallery & Framing for a handful of posters and pictures. Shelly (owner) does quality work, and the materials won’t break the bank.
Shelly is a true professional. She took the time to listen to what I wanted (and what I didn’t want). She worked with me to find the right matte and frame for my posters/pictures. It’s clear that she truly wants the item to be perfect for me. Plus, she is easy to get along with - she is a nice human. I have been extremely happy with her work, and I will continue using her framing services above all other options in the greater Milwaukee area. (Attaching photos of two posters she framed for me.)”
“The art here is both high quality and very accessible. It's the sort of place that will be appreciated by an art connoisseur, but also someone who has never set foot in a gallery before. Absolutely worth checking out!”
“The owners are friendly and knowledgeable. This is a great place to visit even if the art is out of your price range - you might discover a new artist whose work resonates with your tastes. They also occasionally host free events which are fun and informative.”
“I recently had a great experience with a recent order. The website was super easy to use, and the delivery experience was exceptional!
I’ve been a fan of Goodland Home & Goods since they started. I’m proud to support a local retailer!”
“Just received mugs as a gift from your shop. Nothing better than drinking coffee out of a beautiful container. You're way out of my neighborhood but I'll definitely make a point of visiting in the future because now I'm intrigued!”
“Chris is a very responsible jeweler. Chris was more concerned with how he repaired my wedding band than selling me a replacement. Chris is a pleasure to deal with.”
“What a wonderful shared studio space. Such a great way to build a supportive network. The public can visit, purchase local artwork, take classes. Gallery Night is especially fun!”
“I have had several pieces framed by Maureen and every single one has been exquisite! She takes time to understand what you have in mind and she collaborates with you to come up with beautiful work. She understands that if something is worth framing, it should be framed with care.”
“What a gem! I found this wonderful gallery by accident and It was a completely wonderful experience. I had way more fun here than the Milwaukee Museum of Art. Every room was full of rare treasures carefully curated by the owner, being a deft artist, who understands how to create and how to collect with expertise. I found many things I loved and managed to purchase what I couldn't live without. The building is an 1800's masterpiece and every room is a world to explore. The owner David, gave me lots of personal insights and anecdotes on his inspirations that led to journeys, to creating, and finally to acquisition. There are many masterworks here from tribal African sculpture to European modern masters. There is something for everyone here truly. Go on your own journey there and find your favorites. This is a gallery that makes collecting artan uttermost joy. Thank you for such an amazing experience, I am so grateful.”
“We visited Milwaukee to celebrate my girlfriend Hua's birthday. I thought it would be nice to stay at a bed and breakfast as opposed to a hotel and this looked like a nice choice. It was a great choice. Mary Ellen and Andrew are amazing hosts and made us feel right at home. Our stay was peaceful, relaxing, and delightful. You can clearly see and feel the care Mary Ellen has put into making their establishment hospitable and soothing. It feels like a long wonderful embrace . Thank you! As we were getting ready to leave Hua turned to me and said, we need to come her every year.”
