Thorough but $200/5 quarts of transmission fluid? Spoke with Scott 3rd Monday of August. Dropped car off same day. Got call next morning shortly after 9 - car ready. Picked car up with my widow mother that PM. Happy that afternoon, but realized next morning was taken advantaged of my loss of my father just 3 months prior.
I installed 2 ball joints & CV axle prior. Grafton Mobil looked it over, test drove it, put it on the lift, installed cotter pin (on passenger side per my request) & bled the brakes. Did I not tighten the driver side ball joint? It's possible, but the cotter pin was installed & Grafton Mobil bled driver side brakes & was aware I blew out that ball joint.
Fluid was added by raising the hood, reaching down for the reservoir cap, unscrewing it & adding the fluid. So, necessary to put car on lift / hoist? My father would say no. So, I say thorough. Scott knows transmissions. As a m. engineer, I can attest to that. The cost is questionable.

Badger Transmissions came highly recommended to me. I brought my truck to them for a transfer case leak, however, it did not start after I left it. They spent nearly two weeks trying to help me get the truck into mechanics they trusted. They made calls themselves and offered to tow it for me. Very few places would have gone out of their way to accommodate this situation. I will be back to use their services in the future as I trust them completely.

I had a problem. A big one. Scott, the owner, gave it to me straight. It needs a new transmission. He explained the problem, showed me the codes, and was very direct about my options. He even offered that it didn't need to be done immediately but I could go on driving for a while if I so chose. He also warned me about driving long distance and I am taking his advice to heart. There was no big push to DO IT NOW but I can call him when and if I am ready. I am grateful. Thank you, Scott.

I had a classic car with a minor leak from transmission. I had been a customer of DJ’s transmission for years. I took my car in to DJ’s they said they wouldn’t recommend fixing it it was leaking from everywhere and they would rebuild it for $2600 yes $2600. I got the car to Badger he drove it got it on the rack identified the leak and said he could fix it and tune it up for under $400. Badger you have yourself a new customer!

Was quoted over 45hundred OVER THE PHONE for a rebuild, the trans I need costs 5grand NEW I have a background with cars never herd a rebuild price that outrageous

I took in my car to get a clutch put in that I already had. I was told no more than 900. They did not use my clutch and charged me for a new one. I wish that was the least of my problems. When I got my car back everything drove different and the check engine light came on for the first time. When I took it to a garage they said over 5 grand. I was a little suspicious but after all they did get my clutch working good and it’s an older vehicle. Took me a minute to calm down and I hope it’s just a coincidence.Service: Transmission

They go above and beyond to help get your vehicle fixed in a timely manner. Saved me big dollars by taking the extra steps to figure out what was really wrong with my transmission rather than just charging me for work that wasn’t needed even though I had 2 other places tell me different.
