Just tried Bay View herring for the first time. Nicely trimmed, firm, well-packed herring. Not mushy like some others. We will definitely put Bay View herring on the list of good brands for herring.

I still love their products. It is the season to go and visit the store on St. Paul ave - but a heads up; they do not stock any herring there. All but that is sold at the factory store. It looks like Woodmans and festival stores do sell the herring tho. And good luck in finding what you want this time of the season
