BMO is a trash company with garbage-tier customer support and ridiculous fees. Bank elsewhere if you value your time and money.

BMO... PLEASE take this to heart... it's been a very rough 2 - 3 years (COVID-19) and then add to that, INFLATION... DO THE MATH.Get with the program already.GOOD CUSTOMER SERVICE is the way to go... there are a thousand other banks out there ready and willing to BEND OVER BACKWARDS to gain and KEEP customers. I was considering transferring my business to BMO but changed my mind after reading the CUSTOMER SERVICE reviews.

I opened a checking account some years ago to gain an incentive payment & to have a 2nd debit card backup. That was successful & no problem. Recently, I wanted to close it... with online savings actually paying interest these days, I don't want extra money laying around getting nothing for it.There is no, absolutely no way, to message/email anyone at BMOHarris. All the 'Contact Us' links lead to a nationwide phone number. When I called that number, they tried and tried (so they said) but they were unable to cancel my account. So I just withdrew all the money but the account is still active. Holding my breath waiting for them to charge me for the privilege of having an open account with no money. Don't know if they can reach into my active account at another bank to steal their fee. We'll seel.

This is posted in the drive-thru as of 8/2 - so naturally I got before 5:30pm and the drive actually closes at 5:00pm. This should be updated. Even online on google it shows drive-thru hours as open until 5:30pm. Just annoyed cause now I’ll have to make an extra trip for a deposit that I can’t do online or at the ATM.

Not sure exactly what his name, but Robert “Zgradnik” or how ever you spell it, was completely rude. One of the rudest customer services reps/bankers I’ve ever met. Hopefully that phone call was monitored & recorded. Asked a simple request because I’m on vacation & wanted to notify my bank that I would be out of town.... from the jump he was rude with an irritable tone in his voice, & acted like he didn’t know what I was talking about when asking to “put a out of state note on my account” so I didn’t get any suspicious activity freezes on it.... can’t believe this man is still employed with how he handles customers. Get a new job a**hole. ??

Bob gave us some outstanding customer service as we closed out some accounts from my father's estate... very professional and friendly. Good to see the lobby open during the Covid where some banks are not. We were even over an hour late due to a bad experience and slow service at their competitor down the block... Bob is an "asset" to your bank!

I called the branch to ask whether I should stop in to set up a checking account for my son or set it up online. The guy told me it can be complicated to set up online and recommended that we come in. We came in. He begins the process, very slooooowly, then tells us it’s $25 to set up a checking account in the branch. It’s free to set up online however. He never mentioned the fee when I asked which method he’d recommend! Manager wouldn’t waive the fee. I’ve been a customer for 30+ years and I’m considering moving all of our accounts to a more customer friendly bank.

Get a new system for your drive through, wow, I've been waiting for 10 minutes and still haven't seen anyone at the window. I'd leave if I hadn't sent all my stuff in already!

Was my first time at this BMO and I heard from another family member that they like going to this one and was good, but was the worst experience. We came in on Sat. an hour before they closed, the teller was really nice and helpful, but needed to see a banker. There was one banker and was helping a customer way before we came in. So we waited for an hour straight there was others waiting (I understand tht there's one banker), and when they finish, it was time for them to close, like if you weren't taking anymore costumers then say so, wasted time. I could of when to another BMO.

Used the ATM and the machine kept my money, charges me $5.00 ATM fee. Went inside to tell them and to get my money. I was told I have to see a banker and I won't get my money. I have to go threw whom ever owns the damn ATM. Don't have a problem taking my money right away. I shouldn't have a problem getting my money right away.
