David Barnett is dishonest and a fraud. Never transact with this gallery, he owes me $20,000 and won't even return my calls.Truly the worst customer experience of my life.

Very nice fine art gallery (probably the best) in Milwaukee. Owner is Milwaukee treasure. If you love art, make this a priority to visit

What a gem! I found this wonderful gallery by accident and It was a completely wonderful experience. I had way more fun here than the Milwaukee Museum of Art. Every room was full of rare treasures carefully curated by the owner, being a deft artist, who understands how to create and how to collect with expertise. I found many things I loved and managed to purchase what I couldn't live without. The building is an 1800's masterpiece and every room is a world to explore. The owner David, gave me lots of personal insights and anecdotes on his inspirations that led to journeys, to creating, and finally to acquisition. There are many masterworks here from tribal African sculpture to European modern masters. There is something for everyone here truly. Go on your own journey there and find your favorites. This is a gallery that makes collecting artan uttermost joy. Thank you for such an amazing experience, I am so grateful.

The art is beautiful, and I’ve been told that the framer Kat is great and does spectacular work, but the staffing here is a revolving door for a very good reason. I have discouraged friends and family from patronizing this place because I cannot support gallery owners that scream at their employees and treat visitors as if they’re disposable solely based on their profession or income. The other reviewer who said the place had a “narcissistic” vibe doesn’t know the half of it.There are many other art galleries in the city, please consider patronizing them instead.

Visted during Doors Open Milwaukee 2022. Amazing house and gallery with a variety of works. The artist's own works were the highlight, with appealing colours and imagination, along with the Chagall lithographs.

Absolute terrible customer service, paid for parking here and got my car stolen the first day of the month. They wouldn’t give me any money back or transfer it to the next month when I would have my car back. DON’T pay them for parking. Literally no sympathy at all. All he said was “not my problem”

David Barnett is well versed, intuitive, and focused, meeting and exceeding customer expectations Worldwide. For decades, David has specialized in bringing talent to the forefront, and has amassed an impressive collection of Fine Art. Barnett Gallery is a veritable feast for the eyes, heart, and soul. I could not recommend a visit more, be it in person, on line, or on line on 1st Dibbs. They also specialize in exacting appraisal, restoration, and framing. Highly recommended, this gallery does not disappoint.

Beautiful gallery full of a very large selection of various pieces. From sculptures to oil on canvas to acrylic this place has it all. The friendly staff, Hunter, was very nice and greeted me before entering. They were also very helpful in guiding me through the building. I would return again for sure! :)

By far the best over any museum or gallery I've ever been to. Went on my birthday in November since the art museum in the city was closed and David blew my boyfriend and I away! Not only did he give us an extensive personal tour of the place himself answering all our questions and telling us the extravagant backgrounds and stories of his collection, David also gave us an inside look on plenty of precious pieces stored away and art in the framing process at his workshop. His assistant even took us up to his private office to view that gallery at the end of Davids tour. This is where we popped a bottle of bubbly to celebrate my birthday! David Barnett was such a warm and welcoming person and treated us as if we were family. This day will forever be one of the most special birthdays I've enjoyed as I love learning art history and had such an unforgettable experience. I am so glad we dropped in and excited to come back to this city solely to see David and his art gallery again! Definitely worth the trip if you're in the area, this gallery is the finest Milwaukee has to offer! 10/10

After many repeat visits to this world class art gallery located in the heart of Milwaukee's downtown, it is time to spread the word of just how lucky we are to have this gallery in our hometown. Recent articles in The Shepherd Express and On Milwaukee as well as a news feature on the CBS Sunday Morning television show, shed light on the beauty of this fabulous art gallery, but nothing takes the place of an actual visit to the David Barnett Gallery housed in the historic Henry H. Button house. Originally, we went to the gallery to purchase a "real" work of art and after having the good fortune of spending the better part of an afternoon with David Barnett himself, and wandering the beautiful gallery, we have become frequent visitors to the gallery. David's love of art and this gallery is apparent every time we visit. It is truly inspiring. David has surrounded himself with top notch people. Rachel, the gallery's associate director, is always willing to lend her time to help me locate and acquire works of art from throughout the world. She is relentless in her pursuit of art for her clients. Kelsey serves as the gallery's art consultant and assistant to David Barnett. After a brief conversation with Kelsey, she is always able to locate the works of art in the gallery that would most interest you. Darryl, the head of the framing department, will utilize his exceptional skills to create museum quality, framed works of art. It never ceases to amaze me how gifted he is. The gallery's website is exceptional and provides a great snapshot of just how diverse the gallery's offerings are. However, as I stated previously, nothing takes the place of an actual visit to the gallery. I originally intended to visit the gallery once and purchase a work of art. David and his amazing staff opened the floodgates for me of a lifetime pursuit of art. I can't recommend this gallery highly enough. It is truly a special place.

Art itself is good. Found this place hard to be called an art gallery. The art is displayed salon-style, a nice way to say disorganized and overwhelming to the eye. The manager is a very mean person to say the least, ruining prospects. David himself is a very nice guy but understands art as a collector. I would say there is definitely a narcissistic vibe present overall.
