DO NOT go here this family dollar scams people. I don’t know how they did it but i think there debit card scanner has a chip in it that reads people’s debit/credit card. So they can use your cards to purchase something for them. Scammers and thieves. i’ll never go to this family dollar again.

Let me start off by saying that leadership should be demonstrated from the top down and not the bottom up.
My 17-year-old son visited this dollar store around 7:00-7:30pm on 4.18.24 and was assaulted by a staff member here, by being physically thrown out of the store without just cause.
As my son entered the store, he noticed other people coming in behind him. Like many people will do, he held the door open for the other individuals to enter in as well.
While my son was in the store, he was immediately asked to leave. Confused, he asked what was going on, but not one store associate gave a reason as to why he had to leave. Instead, he was grabbed and pushed out the store........... He'd subsequently suffered minor cuts from the altercation.......
On 4.19.24, I took my son back to this dollar store to get an understanding of what happened and spoke to the manager who confirmed the altercation that transpired the day before. I told the store manager that I would be pressing charges on the store associate for assaulting my son and that I wanted names. (Here is where my problem started and why I am writing this post.) The manager explained that she needed to call the District manager named Stephen. While the store manager explained to Stephen what happened, she also told him that I was going to be pressing charges. Being put on speakerphone, Stephen (District manager) then started to explain to me what happened....Apparently when the other individuals came into the store, they started stealing, and because my son held the door for them (out of courtesy) the store associates assumed they ( my son and the other individuals) were together.
Although not one person witnessed my son stealing, not even on the security cameras that were reviewed later, he was treated like he was stealing.
Stephen ( District manager) insinuated that my son was with the other individuals, and when I explained that my son DID NOT know the other people, Stephen, again, held fixated on his beliefs, that my son did know them, lacked a broader understand outside of his own ego driven views. He offered no apologies... but did seemingly offer his lack of care, concern, and understanding of the matter.
In the end, the store manager brought the store associate up (who assaulted my son), who then apologized right away for what SHE had done....
To that young lady, let me tell you that it takes integrity for one to admit the wrongs that have been done to others while putting our pride down. You did that, you showed true character and integrity that can take you far in life ( if you continue to learn and grow from these life lessons) and I recognized in that moment you meant what you said. As a mother, I was proud of you, because there are so many disrespectful souls amongst our youth, but in that moment, it was you showing something you can be proud of within yourself for a lifetime. In that moment you owned up to your mistake and for that, I want to say to that young lady that we accept your apology 100%
To the STORE manager, I witnessed someone who was very understanding, professional, and one who demonstrated leadership. I also witnessed the young lady who assaulted my son, show empathy and growth. ??
Please don't be led with assumptions because assuming things lack substance and rarely produce facts. These types of mistakes can cause long-term damage and pain, so please be mindful of how you treat one another.
To Stephen, you need to be demoted or go through sensitivity training because you almost single-handedly made the situation worse with your terrible phone etiquette, horrible soft skills, and uncaring tone of voice.
Give the store manager a raise because she handled the situation like professionals do, with poise, empathy, promptness, and resolve.

People always stealing out of there! Not all but MAJORITY of the employees are rude and lack customer service they NEVER open and on the website it be saying they are they won’t even tell you why they are NOT open for the day I highly recommend reporting this location and there team like I did!

This place is poorly stocked , disrespectful staff . I've been in there several times and they were cursing and acting like they were at a bar . Always short on cashier's ( if they can keep them ) , no one willing to assist customers , manager is always hiding out in the office .Now you only can purchase non food items .

I don’t usually write reviews on anything but I frequent this store and I’ve never been treated like I was treated today especially by the Assistant store manager. She was really rude and was talking to me like a child in front of my kid. It was as if she didn’t want to help me I waited in line only for her to call the people that were after me first. I only go there because it’s a walk away from my house but I think I’ll be going to a different location from here on out.

Today in the morning I went shopping and the cashier was very angry screaming speaking racist words in front of more people it was not customer service at all just because I asked her about a product special and she answered me in a very bad way angry super angry and treating me badly I throw away the money and the things I bought, very bad service from her

Store is a joke they never open on time. Today says open at 8:30am it is now 9:44am lights on door locked online even says open. At this location this is the norm
