I've been a Hertz customer for years. Today I was set to pick up a Tahoe, Alice (location Manager) called me, well before my scheduled pick up time, to let me know it wasn't available after all. She quickly suggested some other options and came up with a nice Ford Explorer. Alice had it ready upon my arrival, quickly processed the paperwork and I was on my way. Based on my experience, I highly recommend. Thank you Alice!!

Not a great location, and not a great image for the Hertz brand. When I booked my presidents circle status was not transferred despite me entering it in. The lady working was able to find me a suitable vehicle, but at a higher rate and with a side serving of sass. The office reeks of stale cigarette smoke, feels rundown and despite being presidents circle, I will be testing another agency for my next rental.

The worst Hertz location I have ever dealt with in my last 10 years of renting from Hertz. I chose to return my vehicle at this downtown location instead of the Milwaukee Airport because of its location closer to my hotel. Every website says that they are open on Sundays, this location had a sign made of looseleaf paper that said Closed on Sundays. Then there was no obvious drop-off location to return my vehicle. I called the Customer Care and they said it was okay to leave the car in the parking structure above this little hole in the wall Hertz location. I didn’t feel right about that and I offered to just take it to the airport but Customer Care said that this would be okay. 2 days later I get an email saying that I never returned the car. Lucky for me, I took timestamped photos of when and where I parked the car in that parking structure. That Hertz location took two weeks to close out my bill. NEVER AGAIN. DONT EVER RENT FROM THIS LOCATION

I booked a reservation through Expedia. I tried calling them a few times to confirm, but no one picked up. Finally, a lady answered and told me there was no reservation under my name. I mentioned it was through Expedia, and she hung up on me immediately. Good thing I called to check because of all the negative reviews. I ended up renting from Enterprises. It was a smooth experience from check-in to return, and the staff was really friendly.

Tried to rent a Tesla from here. The car was dirty with finger prints all over the windows and smelled like weed. The steering wheel was covered with electrical tape but had a steering wheel cover over it. Crumbs were everywhere. I should’ve know something was up because the office stunk. The staff was nice though. Probably won’t rent from them again.

I called to verify my car was booked and it could be picked up as early as possible. They person I spoke to on the phone said she would put me down for pickup between 8 and 830.
I arrived at 8 sign on door says open at 9.
I come back at 9 to get the vehicle, I'm told that my reservation is for 10:30.
So now I am waiting on a car and I'm 2 hours behind schedule.
While Im waiting a lady comes and says she arrived at 4:45 the previous day and the door was locked ( they are supposed to be open until 5). She said that she didn't need the car for same amount of time because 1 day was already gone. She was told they weren't sure they could change the booking.
Another person came in to pickup and was told they would be put on a wait-list because they booked last night.
Another person came in to pick up and was told they had to wait until 11 before a vehicle would be ready.
The only vehicles available were electric.
Train your people they should be aware of hours.

Booking a reservation but not having a car? It’s like a Seinfeld episode. I recommend calling before booking to make sure they have cars.

Downtown MKE Hertz is my spot! I only rent cars at this location. Alex is so friendly and accommodating, it’s a joy to work with her, she always hooks me up with the best vehicle for my travel needs. Just this past March I reserved an economy class and through past experiences, I ask for an upgrade and boy did she hook me up. She gave me a new K5 sedan, the prettiest powerful luxurious sedan I’ve ever seen. If I could afford a car, that would be it. ALEX - thank you for your constant customer service and outstanding interactions with me. It’s obvious you take pride in your job and it’s hard for me to understand all these negative comments about you and your facility, YOU ROCK in my book.

Don't Ever Rent A Car from them .. The Front Desk Manager Outs extra charges on Your Itinerary. Hidden charges racking up to $200

Very friendly and efficient staff. I got my car from chicago and easily returned it here without any issue. The parking lot can be a bit hard to find so it can be benefited from a more clear and bigger signs. I walked in to the office for help while returnning my car, but in the end it was still a smooth enough experience.

Closed early with clerk staring at us and no notification. Company still wanted to charge for the employee leaving for an early day! Don’t EVER do business here!!!!

Completely and utterly useless. We showed up on time based on our confirmation. The door was locked and the only person at the front desk simply waved us off. 20 mins later, after waiting on corporate customer service, they claimed the only option was to go to a different location and pay roughly 35% more. So, book literally anywhere else.
