Sends me a debit card in the mail I didn't ask for. Actually read the terms and see I'd be on the hook if anyone stole my mail and used said card. Have never even opened an account with them, how could I get a debit card without an account, you tell me bud. 0/10 think this company is a complete scam think I might just go though the work and report them to the IRS and other banking authority. I would say more but I bet I'm already on some watch list. I hate getting spam.

***Update***After contacting the company a few times, we came to a settlement regarding the loss. I think it was fair and accept it. There are still improvements they need to make, but their willingness to compromise improved my view of their service.***ZERO STARS*** --> Changed to 4 starsJust got off the phone (6th time in a month) with HSA Bank. This time with a rep that is supposedly sending a written response to my BBB complaint. HSA Bank effectively lost over $400 due to their gross negligence in handling the sweeping of funds between cash and investment accounts (note: I moved all my money to a cash account to have it all transferred to Fidelity - a much better fiduciary bank for people - they then automagically swept it back to an investment account where it lost money).AVOID HSA BANK AT ALL COSTS - literal and figurative. ^^^Disregard^^^

Refused to accept my photo ID and closed my account the second they saw it. Why? The address on it was from my previous residence one town over. Refused to accept the mountain of mail and my social security card included with it like any normal bank would, because a real bank would realize I moved, and am about to move again in a month. This place isn't even a real bank, it's a joke.5 months later and I still don't have a health savings account, and they basically told me and my employer that I can either go to the DMV or go without health insurance. I didn't even think it was legal to be this incompetent in 2022.

The website looks glossy and nice, the functionality is awful. If you want to make: here are my employees and here is my money the most difficult thing possible, their model is for you....

If I could give this bank no stars, I would. I do not recommend utilizing this bank. I was recommended to this bank by my current bank because they do not have HSA accounts. I signed up for my HSA on April 12, 2021 and still have yet to receive my "Welcome Kit" or debit card in the mail. I have called them 4 times over the last two months to check in about where my bank info and debit card are, each time they apologize, order a new debit card to be sent, and encourage me to wait 10-14 business days to receive my Welcome Kit and debit card. As of today, June 10, 2021, I still do not have my card or any further information. This seems to be a fully online bank and has no concrete locations to go to for further help. I will be closing my account and have resigned myself to the fact that I will likely never receive my debit card and will not be able to access the money in my account. DO NOT USE THIS BANK.

Horrible bank. This is my only option as a federal employee. You get abysmally low returns, which are more than eaten up by astronomical fees.

This is the worst bank, and one of the worst businesses, I have ever encountered in my life. I wanted to invest my HSA balance via an Ameritrade account, which should be possible according to their terms and website. But I couldn't do it, apparently because my account was set up incorrectly in the first place. HSA Bank said this was because the account had been set up through my business' benefits coordinator (a third party), but the coordinator said he had nothing to do with it. The bank promised him and me that it would be fixed, but it never was. They repeatedly promised that they would call me back to confirm that it had been, but they never did. This process consumed months of elapsed time and hours of phone time.

On hold for 27 mins, it transferred me and asked me to rate my experience with the customer representative that never picked up.

I need to transfer some money, but I can not reach a human being because the phone number is connected to an automated system. It goes from point A to point B and you never get to a person that can answer a question.
