Lying on someone character is not a good look for this company your not following the proper protocol when it comes to Firing someone there is a written warning verbal warning and a final warning you don’t just go to complete termination fire somebody over the phone and through email until I talk to somebody that’s in the corporate office this company is going to have a lot of problems because if that’s the case all of the employees working shouldn’t have a job either

Many years ago, after visiting multiple senior living communities in the North Shore area, our mother decided to live at Laurel Oaks. It was not the fanciest of the options, nor was its programming as compelling as would have been nice for her. She moved to Laurel Oaks because of the warm community of residents, and a staff that cares deeply about the safety and wellbeing of the people who live there. There has never been a time when she (or we as her children) regretted her decision. During the past year of the pandemic, the Laurel Oaks team has managed to keep COVID cases at bay from residents, and at the same time, they have worked to keep people connected to families and friends. We regularly receive communications about the status of cases and anticipated vaccinations. Our family is grateful to the Laureate Group leaders who ensure that Laurel Oaks continues to have the resources it needs to keep this vital community flourishing.

My mother has been a resident of LO for nearly eight years, first in independent living and, more recently in the suites (memory) unit. Throughout that time LO has provided a safe, clean, and consistent living environment in which the staff has dealt with my mother's various issues. The upper-level staff has been communicative and seems to always have had her best interests in mind. At nearly 98 years old my mother has her issues and the staff has shown admirable flexibility in dealing with those issues. Even in this time of the pandemic LO has kept my mother safe, for which I will be forever in their debt.

My father has been a resident of Laurel Oaks for over a year and a half. After the first time he and I took a tour, we were sold on him living there. It's a very well-kept, nice location. Overall, every staff member I've encountered has been pleasant and helpful.During COVID, Laurel Oaks has had to dramatically restrict outside visitors, so I've been unable to physically see my dad beyond limited visits, but Laurel has always been very responsive to whatever needs my dad has, or I've had on his behalf. There is an overall kindness and attentiveness there, that I cannot put a high enough value on. My dad's had his share of health issues, which has been a strain on him and a constant concern for myself and the family. So the peace of mind that he's at a high-quality place with really good staff has been a huge load off our minds...and he's very happy there.

Reminder maintenance staff does work on the weekends; I’m disappointed that my mother who asked for help numerous times was ignored when her fire alarm had been going off since 9:30am on 12/13/2020. I had to call to handle it and it was finally fixed at 7:45pm. Please develop a better process as a business. Please don’t tell them, your customers, it isn’t an essential maintenance issue. Very disappointed in the level of customer service and support for this situation. I realize your customers can be difficult, but regardless - you as a business have to do the right thing and still provide them the proper care.

I teach a movement class at Laurel Oaks and especially enjoy the relationships with the people in my class. There is an atmosphere of engagement and positive energy among the people I meet. It’s a pleasure to work with the friendly outgoing staff as well.

This place has really gone down hill. It's all about turning a profit here. The place is poorly maintained. The elevators constantly break down. Mice are through out the building. Staffing is a revolving door. The staff they do have is poorly trained They utilize high school aged kids who are there because they have to be. It shows in their attitude. The head nurse is a poor excuse for. Nurse. Bedbugs have been reported. The place looks very run down The memory care is really no care. No individualized care. Activities like batting a ballon are a mainstay. I took my parent out of there and found a much nicer place. Please don't be fooled by their sales team. Lots of promises but it's all a bait and switch. The food is sub par. Residents have to fight over getting cream and sugar with their coffee. The sugar is handed out as if it's gold. Ridiculous .
