Unfortunately I wasn't greeted or smiled at or anything kind. Instead I was told only "Drinks up here," in a barking tone the moment we passed in the door. I understand wanting to protect the merchandise but if you are a bookstore next to many coffee shops, you need to be understanding and I definitely don't want a stranger touching my beverage. It would also be different if I was addressed kindly. I had my baby in the otherhand and we were just trying to pick up books after brunch. We were excited to support small business and even waited till they opened just to go. However we were shown zero kindness. I feel bad for the owners because I'm sure they wouldn't allow this. Good luck staying in business, if that's how you greet your customers

A perfect little bookstore. Very helpful and friendly staff, and they display their books in an unusually helpful way; I never leave without buying at least three books (often more!) because they put excellent books in prominent display. This store is truly a gem;Tosa is so lucky to have it. When I come to Milwaukee this place is a mandatory stop.

Probably one of the best bookstores I’ve ever visited. The staff were so inviting and the owner is such a hoot. She is a real character. Smaller store with a select but focused array of eclectic books. They let me know they’d also order me anything I was looking for. I ended up spending crazy money (embarrassed to say how much) and will definitely be back again after recouping from that shopping spree.

Unique bookstore in the heart of Wauwatosa!!!! They do have a nice selection of books that you may not see at other bookstores Unfortunately the two employees didn't even notice that I walked in right in after the UPS delivery guy and they seemed very interested what was in the package. Just like Christmas I guess. Hours might be different than what is posted on the door depending on the day of the week. So you might want to call a head since social media might not be the 2 employees cup of tea

I love bookstores but unfortunately this one falls short in that it has a very small selection of children's books to enjoy. The staff is not very personable and extremely germophobic even with all precautions and vaccinations and masks in place. It makes you feel very unwelcome.

This is a must stop for your reading needs. They have a wonderful selection of every genre you could want in the environment of a cozy, small building. The staff are also really amazing and helpful to talk with. They are also a great stop for book club selections.

I like to support local stores (especially bookstores!!) so I appreciate having one nearby! I've popped in a few times for various needs. It is a smaller store so they definitely don't have everything but they have a good selection of best sellers and hot new books and quite a few books about the local area which is cool. They also have 20% off on a lot of the new ones which I was excited to see. What bumped it down to four stars for me was the last time I was in looking for board books for newborns. They have some but not a huge collection and I felt like the two people working were too engaged in a conversation amongst themselves to come help me. In general I've felt like when I go to the counter they are friendly but do not necessarily reach out in the rest of the store.
