We had our wedding at the Milwaukee Athletic Club and it was truly magical. The Rooftop Terrace's breathtaking views set the stage for a romantic ceremony, while the Grand Ballroom exuded sophistication during the reception. Katie, the Event Manager, ensured a seamless experience with her expertise, professionalism, and attention to detail. She made us feel a part of the MAC family throughout the entire process. Chef Tom's culinary creations were a highlight, adding a delectable touch to our celebration. (And we are STILL getting people talking about how great dinner was!) Highly recommend this venue for a perfect blend of elegance and culinary excellence. Our heartfelt thanks to Katie, Chef Tom, and the entire team for making our wedding day a dream come true!

Aside from a gym, this is also an event venue and there are also a few hotel rooms available and a rooftop bar. I came for Doors Open Milwaukee and got some decent views of the Milwaukee skyline from the roof top

The MAC is a great place for all, a place to stay, work, and workout. The relatively recent remodel and upgrades made the experience better. The team is so friendly and willing to help you out whenever they can. There are apartments and hotel rooms on some of the upper floors, great dining for members on the roof, and a beautiful bar lounge for all to enjoy!I love the location, centered in downtown. The lounge spaces are a great place to hang out or get some work done. The athletic facilities offer a variety of options and provide classes to help you improve.

It’s truly been a pleasant experience being a member at the MAC. Great athletics, co-working space, great rooftop restaurant and cocktail bar. I could easily spend all day here. The staff here are exceptional, especially Jason - nicest person ever!

One of the best gyms in the city. A bit pricy with the initiation fee but the bar and restaurant are also very good. Its a blast in there.

The Milwaukee Athletic Club wears many hats, from apartment to offices to gym to venue, and it wears them all in excellent fashion. The team provides 6 star service and actively engages all guests so they feel welcome even if they are just stopping by for a coffee break. As a members only (sign up requires a sponsorship from an existing member as well) building for all but one room (Elephant Room, a cocktail lounge) you know there will always be equipment available or space in the coworking lounge. While it is amazing already there is plenty of room for growth and further improvements to the facilities which makes signing up for membership today a great networking investment. The building is over 100 years old and after the renovations I am hoping it is around for 100 more years as an essential architectural cornerstone of Milwaukee.

The Milwaukee Athletic Club is a beautiful historical building which was built in 1917 and added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2019. I checked out their website and they have a lot of cool things going on. This is a must see building to check out. I would join this club if I lived in Milwaukee.

Three of us decided to do happy hour cocktails at the Elephant Room Lounge which is open to non-members.Let's start off with the only good part of the experience....the drinks. They have a limited menu of mocktails, a great addition. I had the cucumber gimlet and it was outstanding. My friends had the happy hour wine. It was fine.Now....the rest of the experience. We walked in and there was a family group with several small children in the corner, no issue with them. There were also two people nursing their drinks at the bar.The bartender did not greet us or we indicate that we had to walk up to the bar to order. No table service, okay, it's a small space and it seemed only the bartender was available for staff. We walked up to the bar and ordered, he took all three of our cards so he KNEW we were paying separately. This will become important later. We asked about bar food because we had read about it in some promotional material we had seen. He says there is a food menu. Okay. Then asks if we're members. No. Sorry, food is only for members. Seriously? There are restaurant spaces for members only, why have two tiers of service in a space held open to the public? And it's not a meal, it's snacks. He did offer us a miniscule bowl of corn nuts and peanuts for the three of us to share. No napkins for the drinks. No water offered. No check to see how things were. We returned to the bar to pay where he informed us that even knowing we were all paying separately, it "would be easier" for him if he put it all on one card. At this point we just wanted to go somewhere more friendly so we put it on one and left. One of our group had been a long time member when her husband was still alive and she was quite disappointed. All that said, it's a shame because the space really is beautiful.

Very inconsiderate company to work for. When I was interviewed for a cook position I informed them that I have an autistic daughter and a 1st shift job being a care giver for my grandmother and some days may be challenging. Chef grant was well aware of that and so were my other colleagues. I was wrote up for being tardy so I made it my mission to find a secure babysitter for my young one and never was tardy again. On 9/13 I worked from 9am til 3pm in the rooftop kitchen. I clocked in at 8:58am that day; never expected to be fired the next day. Especially when my performance in the kitchen was outstanding. The next day I was scheduled from 3pm - 10pm. They have a tablet that everyone uses to clock in and after so many uses you have to clear the cookies in order for you to clock in which takes one minute. I clocked in at 3:01 on 9/14. I had to take the residents elevator because the freight elevator was down due to maintenance. Once I finally got to my post I greeted everyone. I was asked by chef Matt what time did I get here today and I told him I got here at 2:58 and it took me a minute to clock in because I had to clear the cookies on the tablet because it didn't let me login without clearing the cookies. After that he told me with a stern look on his face that chef Tom wanted to see me. I get down there to meet chef Tom and he directed me to wait for him in the ballroom. I sat there for 45 minutes and chef Tom finally greets me and sit down with termination papers . He asked me what time did I get here today and I told him 2:58 but I clocked in at 3:01 due to me clearing the cookies on tablet and refreshing the page . He cuts me off in the middle of me telling him about the tablet and says "you were late, so with that being said we're terminating you." I let him know that I wasn't late today it was the system freezing up so I couldn't clock in on time. I was on the premises at 2:58pm. He wasn't trying to hear me and it was very clear that he had his mind made up. I told him about my autistic daughter and the babysitter situation and how that was handled so I wouldn't have problems moving forward and I haven't had any since the write up. So that was very upsetting hearing that bad news especially having a marvelous work day the day prior. Everyone was all smiles, it was crazy how the energy changed so quickly the next day and I wasn't even late. He was speaking in a negative tone. He wasn't understanding at all but he was very understanding with the other chefs that have kids letting them leave to go pick up their kids from school and return back to work. Some wouldn't even clock out and would just leave and come back. For example, Chef Grant left on the day of an event 9/14. What was even more upsetting was seeing I wasn't eligible for rehire! I really enjoyed working there granted being despised

The renovations have really brought this club back to life and are absolutely incredible. It’s great to have a place located downtown to work, workout, grab a drink or a bite to eat and socialize. The views from the rooftop are amazing. Great atmosphere and everyone is so warm and welcoming!
