Contracted to restring my wife’s piano over a year ago. Took her down payment and have not performed the contract or returned the piano. They do not respond to calls and the shop is never open to talk to someone. Avoid at all costs.

Tom did a great job replacing the key tops on my 1947 Hamilton. Done with care and skill, and completed well ahead of his estimated schedule. It looks great now! NOTE: Posted hours are no longer accurate. It is best to call or text for an actual appointment to ensure you'll make contact.

Highly recommended. Tom is very knowledgeable and helpful. Talked me through adjustments on our 1926 Gulbransen player. Works great now. He suggested a great piano tuner for us (Drew). He also does great work.

Tom, its been 2 years and I still cannot get a response to my phone messages, texts or emails. Tom repaired my 1910 player piano 2 years ago, when it was returned the rinky tink bar was missing and some parts of the piano were not repaired. He promised that he would be by within 2 weeks to return the missing rinky tink bar and finish the repairs. I believed him and patiently waited. Although I have reached out to him on numerous occassions and driven to his shop a few times (the door was locked although people were inside, no one would unlock the door), I have been unable to speak to him since my initial conversation about the missing rinky tink bar two years ago. This piano belonged to my deceased father and was given to my disabled daughter who just loves music! At one point last summer one of Tom's employees took pity on us and met us halfway between Tom's shop and IL, unfortunately she brought the wrong rinky tink bar - it wasn't mine and does not fit in my piano, since then, I cannot reach her either. I just want the rinky tink bar back, or at least some explanation as to why I can't have it. The repair of the piano was very expensive, roughly $4000.00. My Mother paid this so that the piano she was giving my daughter would be in good repair - a keepsake, memory of her grandfather who died 24 years ago when she was a ten. They used to play the piano together; people with William's Syndrome just love music. I know life is not fair and that mistakes happen, what I am having so much trouble with is that I cannot get any response from Tom Newhaus, nothing, no explanation as to where the rinky tink bar is and why we can't have it back - it just doesn't make sense to me. I had thought maybe Tom was injured or ill, but the employee who met me last summer said he was fine. I trusted Tom Newhaus and believed that he was an honest man. It is so heartbreaking that I can't get this part back-it makes the player piano so much fun (it was my favorite part when I was a child), we are living with the lack of completed repairs, but would really like the rinky tink bar back, or at least some kind of communication saying why we can't have the rinky tink bar. I have never written a review before, but feel this is my last chance to reach out to Tom Newhaus in hopes of getting the Rinky Tink bar back for my father's 1910 piano. Please Tom - call, text or email me, I will drive up there again to pick up the missing Rinky Tink bar.

Great place to buy Player Piano Rolls. Tom is very nice and knowledgeable and his Dad Arnold had worked on my Grandparent's Player Piano in the 60s and 70s. Prices on rolls are affordable and there is a very wide selection.
