Wish I would have inspected my 2009 Audi A6 Avant more thoroughly when I picked it up from having the hood, driver front fender and driver side mirror repaired from a tree. Did not notice the DA sanding marks all over the hood still, or the remaining indents in the hood where the repair was performed. There is overspray on the fender liner and on some of the black plastic trim in the enginebay. The hood even has drips in the paint. This is amateur level work. I don't care if most people don't notice those things because Audi did not do that at the factory and I do not pay for insurance to pay shops to paint pieces of my car not intended to be painted. I was told I could come back and have the car polished when I raised concerns. Polish doesn't take the overspray off and I should not have to come back to have the job finished. The job should be finished when I am called to pick up my car. I don't care if most people don't notice sanding marks. I don't care if it's possible to get away with low quality work with most customers, it's not a fair practice and it is unethical. People pay for insurance so their cars can be returned o the state they were in before an accident. People don't pay for insurance to have their cars mostly repaired kind of. Inusrance costs way too much for that low quality customer service. I should not have to inspect my car for damage or poor worksmanship when I pick up my car. I am not a bodyshop employee. I pay the bodyshop to inspect the work they do. I believe the quality of work has deteriorated since Gerber acquired the company. Back when it was Prestige, I had great work and customer service on my yellow 1970 MGB. Not sure why Gerber would buy up a shop because the shop does good work and then gut the employees who performed that work. I drove 1.5 hours from where I live now because I was impressed by the previous work Prestige did, but this last job under Gerber was disappointing. I was told I could "just" bring the car back in any day of the week to have the car polished quick or maybe drop it off if more work needs to be done. Why was the job not finished before I was called to pick up my car? Who has a 9-5 job where they can just up and leave work in the middle of the day to spend an unknown amount of time having work finished that was supposed to have been done weeks earlier? I know good workers are hard to come by right now, but this was very, very novice work on a car Audi shipped less than 1500 of over to the US. The car was $54,000 new and now the hood looks like it belongs on a rental Nissan Quest.

I was recently rear ended on my way to work. To my dismay, my car had a hole punched into the bumper from the frame of the vehicle that hit me - so very disruptive to the German styling of my Passat. Ultimately a new bumper was needed, paint work performed and a few dents needed to be pulled out. I had no idea what to do for repairs and looked around for a well reviewed shop to take on this relatively small job. I found Gerber on Yelp and I have to say, I am phenomenally happy with my experience. Submitting a quote online was super quick and easy. I received a response in a few hours. Later, I submitted a claim through the responsible party's insurance. I was interested that the shop performed their own paint work and was skeptical that they could match my car's unique red metal flake finish. The technician assured me that they do their best but let me know it may be a slightly different shade in certain lighting conditions. I was definitely a bit worried, but it turns out that they did an excellent job. I got a call about a week later that my vehicle was ready for pickup. I was so happy with the results of my repair! The bumper matches the rest of the car perfectly and the workmanship is second to none. I couldn't be more pleased. What's more - they matched their quote within about $50. You just can't beat that. Gerber turned out to be an excellent choice. I kind of wish I got rear ended harder so they could have done more work on the car (I'll be careful what I wish for).

Called to get an appointment to get an estimate for a minor dent. I was told it would be at least two weeks out just to get an estimate! I said thanks I will take my business elsewhere.

This started out as a good experience the estimate was reasonable however when they found out that the insurance company had paid me and that it would not be a direct payment from the insurance company they gave me the runaround and refused to repair my vehicle unless i stopped payment on the insurance check so they could be paid directly What a hassle! I ended up taking it to another repair facility and they had no problem with repairing my vehicle in a timely and professional manner.

The staff were amazing at answering all my questions also contacted me to keep me up-to-date on my vehicle also worked with me on helping me with my insurance company to get all the repairs on my car fixed and they went above and beyond with my vehicle by cleaning even the inside of my car I was so satisfied that I would recommend everyone that needs their vehicle repaired to definitely 100% to take it to Gerber Collision you will be outrageously happy you did I can't thank them enough and also there patience with my insurance company to make sure my car was repaired they also saved me $300 off of my deductible so if you need body work great communication and a place that has your best interest on keeping you in the loop and making sure your vehicle looks amazing and all you do is smile when you see what they did at Gerber Collision then that's the place you need to go for all and any repairs to your vehicle I thank everyone that helped me and whoever fixed my car unbelievable work very outstanding job thank you all very much. Use to be Prestige and it was "*****" business. After it become Gerberit is "*" business. Costumer service is next to nothing: always say we call you back and never did, never send paper work to insurance on time. As a result it took them 3 months to do final estimate for insurance. Car was totaled, took 3 weeks to release the car to insurance company. Every time insurance called to make a pick up sad we did not release the car and then I called sad it is insurance company should come up with payment. I would not use Gerber ever again and would not recommend it to anyone.Service: Body & Trim

Staff was fine. Work done was fine.Several items were stolen out of my vehicle while Gerber had it for repairs. They were petty items, but the point was that they were stolen. I told management, and they shrugged me off and took no responsibility. This issue and subsequent response was disappointing and ruined an otherwise decent experience.
