Incredibly rude over the phone.Perhaps our veterans are getting too much stuff, and they don't need to show a wit of gratitude.I get it, they probably have to deal with a lot of people just trying to get rid of things. If you hate your job so much you cannot hide your contempt, maybe it's time for a new job.I was hung up on after being provided incorrect information. I was called a liar when I called back for verification.

I was greeted by rude woman who stated. In response to her sarcasm “ so in response to my sarcasm; do you want to donate or not? State your city and state.“ Kindness gratitude ; ever thought of trying? Please consider before donating the approach you have to experience.

The guys just left the fridge sitting there because they said "the dryer was in the way." If I, a medium size female, can move a light dryer by myself, 2 big men should but didn't. Also, I am a night shift worker. They told my husband 8 am and they came in while I was sound asleep, 2 hours later. Unprofessional.

They pick up and I want to help our Veterans as much as possible, instead of making some CEO rich off of donated items!!!!

I called them directly to see if they would be able to pick up what I needed to give away and they approved of it. They told me they would be in my neighborhood on this certain date, during this certain time. And they were! Very convenient, easy pick up and to a good cause!

Our recent move included a significant downsize. I contacted this organization based on a friend’s recommendation. We had an abundance of household items in very good condition to donate. Unfortunately the customer service was very poor and I was informed they don’t pick up “in that neighborhood”. Surprising since we were fairly close to their service center.

Just experienced a Most unpleasant phone conversation with individual refusing to give me her name, stating she was the office manager. This individual stated I “ had better get off” my attitude when I was clarifying pick up details. This so called office manager informed me the original person scheduling our pick up had done it incorrectly. That was not the case. The person scheduling our pick up had all information perfectly accurate. This so called Manager continued to press me, asking if I wanted to change the scheduled information.I stated there was no reason to change any information, as it was accurate and I I was simply calling to confirm pickup and clarify if I needed to do anything. In the event a truck does not appear to retrieve items, I will by no means donate to this organization again. What a disappointment.

Just called and the lady that I talked to was extremely rude. So I hung up and decided that my family and I will donate someplace else. That really sucks because I am a vet but I'm not going to work with people that are ruder than drill sergeants.

I called to have a nice l9ove seat picked up to donate. The lady was so very rude .. She said they do not come out this far . Which is not true . Ive had pick ups in my area many times. Not a good person to be representing a good cause. Should get rid of her .

I used Purple Heart for many pick-ups. I've had no problems, BUT to get someone to answer the phone is awful! They say they close at 4:00pm, but I just tried to schedule a pick-up and I got an answering machine.

I called to ask what items they accept . I told the lady on the phone what items we have books , furniture , dishes & clothes , mainly basic household items . The lady told me to make a list . I told her I just gave her the list . She said they don't take sofas , so I asked if they wanted a specific list of furniture , books , dishes etc ? I was told just furniture . She told me it's easier for her & I both if I make a list , excuse me but I just told her what we have she's already making it complicated by requesting a list .... I called back & talked to the manager who told me that the lady did not tell me they don't take sofas when she did tell me they don't take sofas but she told me they don't take hutches .... then I told her I know what the lady told me about the sofa two minutes prior to this phone call & she told me to just hang up ....
