About Second Hand Purrs
Second Hand Purrs is a no-kill cat shelter run entirely by dedicated volunteers since September 2004. Currently, adoptions are by appointment only, with open house days temporarily suspended due to Covid-19. The shelter is known for its clean and well-maintained environment, ensuring that cats and kittens are healthy, fed, and loved. Volunteers socialize the cats with people and other animals in foster homes or at the shelter, helping them become friendly and well-adjusted. Evidently children are a hinderance to adoption. They must not be in the equation for a “forever home” for kittens
