Beautiful home in a small town with great food and activities nearby. We stayed in the Loli Room and it was very clean and comfortable. The hosts are extremely friendly and welcoming and greeted us with mulled wine and cookies. Breakfast was delicious and very filling.

Our stay at The Muse was superb. Mary Ellen was an awesome host and made us feel so welcomed. The location is great! A 1-2 minute walk to restaurants and coffee houses. We had lunch one day at Centraal which was very good. We wanted to try a few more restaurants but already had family commitments to attend. We definitely plan on returning to the Muse in the near future and look forward to trying the other local restaurants.Lastly, we stayed in the Cheryl room which had the private bathroom just outside the room. This was no problem at all as we still felt very comfortable and it was still very convenient. Cute room, comfortable bed, and overall a wonderful place to stay. Oh yeah, the breakfasts were tasty, filling and set me up for the rest of my day!! A must stay! Perfect quality and value.

we stayed in the Julia room in January and had a delightful time! the hosts gave excellent recommendations for dinner, we ended up going to the Indian restaurant Andrew suggested and it was amazing. the breakfast spread in the morning was also delicious. there is lots to do in the area, it was just a few minutes from a really cool bar called the cactus lounge and we made great time going to the public museum in the morning. we will definitely be staying again!

We stayed here tail end of Memorial Weekend 2023 en route from Vegas to Adirondacks NY. After driving 12 hours from Keystone SD this place was nirvana (Loli’s room). The owner is incredible helpful&generous. She even prepared two breakfast brown bags for us since we departed before the sun came up. Highly recommend and next time I’m around I will stay longer. The entire neighborhood and pub/drafthouse is stellar.Rooms: Intriguing&visually pleasingWalkability: Few minutes walk to necessitiesNoteworthy details: See photos

My husband and I had an incredible stay at the Muse. The home is beautiful and has so much character and Mary Ellen certainly has a gift for making a space feel full of warmth and personality. Our room was incredibly comfortable and immaculately clean. Breakfast was delicious, filling, beautiful, and unique. The location is also great, as it's a quick Uber to the heart of downtown or to the airport, and a very short walk to lots of fun bars. I also recommend a longer walk to St Josaphat Basilica, which was recommended by Mary Ellen and also some other guests. It was probably the most beautiful church I've seen in the US. This place is an absolute steal, and staying here made our relaxing and adventurous weekend away even more memorable.

I would definitely return. My husband and I stayed in the peacock room. The host was awesome and the house was so cozy. Although I don't like raisins the bread pudding for breakfast was really good.

Our quick stop in Milwaukee was made more memorable by this adorable Bed and Breakfast! The hosts were very attentive and quick to offer all sorts of recommendations and refreshments. The breakfast was fresh and delicious. Of course, the local artwork adorning every room made it feel like you were in a gallery. We would recommend to anyone wanting a more personal place to rest on their travels.

Stayed in the Angela room upstairs for our long weekend for a local triathlon. This home and decor is beautiful. We were so impressed when we first walked in. I walked all around the home to check out all the local artwork which is incredible. We slept so well and the sheets/pillows were so soft and comfy. We didn't realize we had a second bedroom which would be perfect for family or friends. The Angela room has a dining area, main bedroom with king size bed and connected to an outdoor balcony, 2nd bedroom with twin size beds, living room and bathroom. There is a shared kitchen just down the hall if you needed it. We also got to enjoy the outdoor firepit where we talked with another guest and got to meet the owner. Such a nice evening chatting outside on a beautiful day surrounded by beautiful flowers and landscaping. Plenty of restaurants within walking or driving distance and only 2 miles from our triathlon which made it very convenient. We'd love to go back there to stay again.

We were very happy with our stay. The hosts took great care of us. The breakfast and accommodations were lovely. The decor is really cute and the wonderful art is regularly changed out. I was so happy that we did not stay in a hotel. This was such a better option and so much to do within walking distance. The area of town provides for many options of bars, restaurants and shops. We had our own parking space. We will definitely be coming back next time we’re in town. Thanks to Mary and Andrew. It was a tremendous pleasure to stay there and look forward to the next visit.

The absolute best combination of location (the epicenter of Bay View) and price, with the most unique accommodations, and the most unique breakfasts (charcuterie one day, smoothie bowls and bread pudding the next). Absolutely charming hosts and great art on display - I came home with four pieces! It was a great place for my first bed and breakfast stay, my partner’s first trip to Milwaukee, first time meeting my parents, and first PrideFest. The Julia room was amazing, with an oversized soaking tub, and Peacock decor (emerald is my favorite color). Would definitely love to come back and stay in another room!

My husband and I had the opportunity of spending two nights at The Muse in April. We had the pleasure of meeting the owners Mary Ellen and Andrew two years ago while they were visiting in New Orleans. Our stay at The Muse was delightful, delicious, delovely! Or room, The Loli, was cozy, comfortable, and art filled. Our breakfasts were amazing: homemade quiche, fresh fruit, eggs, ham, bagels, served in a sunny dining room. The Muse is in close proximity to music clubs and restaurants (Santino’s Little Italy was a highlight!), and lovely walking paths. Nothing, however compares to the incredible hospitality of our hosts! We felt completely at home and enjoyed much fun conversation with them during our stay. Thank you, Mary Ellen and Matthew! The Muse is a Milwaukee treasure. You should definitely check it out. —Phil and Leanna, New Orleans, LA
