It smells like cigarettes and a dead rat in a summer day at 3 pm.

The place is a shame. The rooms are cold, with the smell of tobacco and the bathrooms without furniture or space to leave basic things.Furthermore, the treatment of the staff leaves a lot to be desired, they are aggressive and mistreated. They make improper charges on the credit cardSafety: A very unsafe place on the part of the staff, since they are aggressive, abusers of power. They scream and invade personal space

We arrived at the room in the middle of winter and the room smells like cigarettes, it is frozen, there is no place to put the suitcases, there are only two hangers in the room and the hotel staff has terrible treatment with the guests, they yelled at my wife with profanity. It is the worst experience of my life.

Owners where nice. Gated parking. Comfortable bed. Nice if you're going to the rave. Cheap.

Not the best neighbourhood, but the staff was nice, and the room was cheap enough. Bed was super uncomfortable and the only heating available was from a space heater hooked up to the wall. Didnt work too well unfortunately. They also took the smoke detector off the wall but it was super obvious that it was missing. Get what you pay for I guess.

I came here a few times never had a problem until the new owners took over, a young lady was about to book my room until some guy made her go do something else, he took my i.d made a phone call and tried to hide behind the wall, after the call he said come back later, after check out, I come back 7 hours later, he just sold a room and informed me that the guy just got the last room, he said they're do electrical work in some of the rooms, I asked him why isn't there a sign stating that, and he said he's about to make one now, really after there are no more rooms your going to warn the customers now, absolutely racist and you know who you are buddy, however the Ambassador hotel down the street got me right in, with no prejudice, and was way more pleasant, kudos to the staff there, village inn in my John taffer voice....Shut it down now!!!!!!

Only stayed one night. You truly get what you pay for here. The hotel is located in a less than desirable neighborhood. Lobby is always locked and counter is protected by bullet proof glass. Employees are nice though but the place really gives sleazy motel vibes. The room are renovated but their choice of decor makes it look like cheap luxury. Very gaudy looking with very limited amenities. They have a very strict no refund policy so if you choose to book here, I wouldn’t recommend making any changes or you’ll be in for some headaches.Overall it’s not a horrible place but it’s not great either. If I could describe this place, it would be the equivalent of staying at a nice hotel in a 3rd world country.

I had a pleasant stay at the village inn. After reading some reviews, I was hesitant, but my stay was very positive. The room was clean and decorated well, front desk was friendly and accommodating, and the bed was quite comfy compared to some reviews. Waiting 5-7 minutes for the shower to warm up was kind of odd, but it gave me time to get things in order and the water was decently warm. You are notified of this at check in, so it's not a hidden surprise. The location is prime if going to the rave/eagles club like we did. Also the price was unbeatable, it was 1/3 the price of any place in the area. Book through them directly and the parking fee is waived. I would definitely stay here again.

Very nice stay! Room theme and decoration was nice and pretty. Its perfect for couples or two besties! Really enjoyed the cleanliness, perfect for a couple nights stay while looking around town. The shower was a bit difficult to figure out cause the HOT and COLD side were swapped and you had to wait a couple minutes for it to heat up. Everything else was perfect though! 0 noise, not super busy, and super cozy! The area is perfect walk to The Rave & Eagles Club, thats what I stayed here for. Definitely would be booking here again if I ever visit the club again in milwuakee and need a quick stay. The location though us kind of rough but the hotel is PERF!Walkability: very short walk to the rave & eagles club!

They charge $15 per night for parking in a non secure parking lot. The room we had at the top of stairs smelled like cigerette smoke. We had to hunt down toilet paper, no hand towel In bathroom. Only 1 towel per guest and no bath mat. Turned on shower and soaked bathroom floor as shower head was pointing at the shower door. Extremely small shower. Air conditioner was a floor unit which was loud and kept us up all night. No deadbolt or chain on door. Beds are hard as can be and covered in plastic. Would not recommend.

Did not stay in the hotel, but was very disappointed that a few hours after booking, and reading reviews, I decided to cancel my reservation, only to find out the cost of cancellation was the cost of my original reservation. That seems shady to me, but I am not a hotel owner. When i did call to request a full refund, they directed me to the third-party booking company. When i was directed to call the village inn back, and directly speak to them about the refund the phone was never answered, and the voicemail box was full. Again, seems shady. I cannot speak to the stay itself, but I would highly recommend reading the reviews before booking any stay here.
