AVOID AT ALL COSTS! DO NOT USE THIS PHARMACY. I have truly never had my medication ready on time. One day I showed up THREE times after getting texted only for it to not be ready. I ordered a prescription on Monday this week, they didn’t fill it until FRIDAY and when I get to the store they’ve decided to close (not a meal break, but full on close) at 1:30pm. Who does this accommodate?! Pharmacists don’t care about customers health. Will never use again.

This Walgreens is so nice. I had the best experience in the store this week. Lynette, helped me find a product I was looking for. She is the best and so professional. Thank you , for your excellent customer service!

This is my main walgreens and I love it! They are so helpful and recently I got some of my vaccines here, Kayla the pharmacist is so kind and the technician I think his name was Matthew is so helpful and nice. I always recommend calling prior to getting your vaccine just to check in which helps a lot :)

I've never had a problem at this pharmacy. They're always polite, efficient, fast and very helpful.
From techs to managers they're always very helpful and efficient.
The other store staff is pleasant and very helpful. Disregard the rude and unhelpful reviews that they have because they're not true. This is the best Walgreens I've been to in such a long time that I will always be coming back.

This location is the most incompetent pharmacy I've ever dealt with. Can never get my refills because staff members are changing scripts from a 30 day to 90 day without out my consent because they can not keep up. Prescriptions called in take 2 to 3 days to get because they are being outsourced from Chicago, and that's if and when the staff doesn't change something. Have confirmed that it is not my doctor's office. Save yourself the headache and go to a totally different pharmacy! This locations pharmacy should just close if they can not handle the work load. If your script has refills left you shouldnt have to worry about pharmacy staff changing it.Not to mention the store is filthy. Floor looks like it hasn't been cleaned in a year!

AVOID THIS PHARMACY. I’m pretty much just adding to other reviews on here, particularly in regards to the pharmacy. There’s always a line of people, and behind the counter there seems to be plenty of staff just walking back and forth. I can’t always blame the staff, because this Walgreens also always seems to draw customers who have to get chatty or complaining when they are up at the counter. I stood in line once behind an older gentleman who chatted with the pharmacist for near on 10 minutes, during which time the line developed all the way to the front of the store.
Today I went to pick up a prescription for vertigo I am experiencing. Needless to say, it was uncomfortable for me to stand there too long. I was nauseous. I joined the line, and when it came to my turn, the guy behind the counter completely ignored me for almost 10 MINUTES while he walked back and forth with other prescriptions. Finally, a woman came up, opened a different register and assisted me.
This is just unacceptable. People are not there to chat or be ignored. We have health issues that demand immediate meds, in some or most cases. This pharmacy shows they don’t have any care at all. It’s rude. I flip flop between this pharmacy, which is closer to my house, or the CVS Pharmacy at Target. Needless to say, I’m taking my business to Target. They’re more efficient and kinder there.

Not sure if the pharmacy is understaffed, overworked , incompetent or all 3. Attempted to get a prescription filled. The tech that answered the phone was harried and a bit rude. I needed to follow up. Spoke with the pharmacist who was a bit better, though he didn't fill all the requisite items for my prescription. Told me he'd have it for me Monday. Well that was 2 weeks ago and ten days after receiving the initial prescription. So it has been over 3 weeks (with follow up on my part) and I don't have my medication. This has been very disruptive to my treatment. I finally had to switch to a reputable pharmacy. Just a cautionary tale to those wanting/needing your meds in a timely fashion. This may not be the place for you.

I once penned a positive review for this Walgreens. I was immeasurably wrong. The pharmacists at Walgreens on South Howell are arrogant and care nothing for their patients. I use "patients" sarcastically because, to them, we are customers, nothing more. Their disregard for their clientele is horrifying. The pharmacists do not care if you live or die and are adept at shuffling pills into jars. That's it. I am a 74-year-old man who must digest a myriad of medications. Because of my age and my education, I consult with physicians about my medication. We work together to find the best results. To my dismay, a pharmacist at the Walgreens on South Howell and Wilbur refused to accept the prescription faxed in by my doctor. She knew better, and she treated me with disdain. My physician's office was shocked. For some reason, this pharmacist was concerned with her "license" to shovel pills into a container and knew more than my physician. By the way, the acceptance rate at pharmacy school is around 90%. Medical schools have an acceptance rate of around 42%. My undergraduate school has an acceptance rate of 12.2%. However, this pharmacist knew better than both of us. We were trying to discover an alternative to a controlled substance I have been on for 34 years that was out of stock. I had been without this medication for more than a week, which is dangerous. My doctor and I had worked out the math in order for me to catch up to the days lost. A 30-day supply is all that was allowed. The pharmacist showed no mercy, didn't care, and refused to understand the mathematics allowed. She was upset because I raised my voice. Hell, I have been out of the medicine for a week and was in withdrawal. She didn't care and told my insurance representative she would not fill the doctor's prescription. Fortunately, an alternative dropped in my lap the next day. However, my physician is still angry over her intransigence. Sadly, I have no alternative but to use Walgreens because of my Medicare supplemental insurance. You may be sure I will find a different Walgreens to dispense my meds. My story will be broadcast throughout the internet. I have contacted the Milwaukee Journal and the Pharmacy Examing Board of the state of Wisconsin. Although this review is inordinately long, please avoid the Walgreens pharmacy on South Howell and Wilbur for the sake of your health.
