My brother had to go to the ER due to a work inquiry - a commercial staple through his thumb. He got there around noon & wasn't helped until after 2pm! When they were in the waiting room, the staff told them they were waiting for a room to open up while my brother is in agonizing pain, and when they got him finally there were 4 rooms from what he saw that were empty and dark - open for use. Then they finally finish up and 20 + minutes go by from when they told him he just needs to wait on paperwork. & get this - when he asked about pain medication, he was told to "put his big boy pants on." ARE YOU KIDDING ME???? The epitome of lazy, non caring staff! Get different job if you hate what you do!

Everything was going good. But one nurse ruined the whole experience. Said horrible things to me an then lied to cover his own faults

Once you get transferred from the switch board. It goes down hill! Is anyone else having difficulty reaching a nurse in particular in ICU?I have been calling to get an update on a family member, and have only been able to reach a nurse once. Now the phone just rings then a busy signal. Very frustrating!Update:I received a prompt call from Monica(?) in Customer service. She was very apologic. She took some addtional information from me and I was able to get an update on my family member who was actually being discharged the next day.

Right hand to God from the bottom of my heart TRUST every Dr/nurse at St Joseph’s with my LIFE, They have the most amazing team of nurses, Doctors & respiratory nurses ever! Words can’t describe how much I love & appreciate every staff member! They wake up & put their heart & soul into what they do, St Joesph have a very good team of people working in the emergency room! I have so many beautiful stories to tell but my most recent visit I came in having an asthma attack & the nurses noticed I brought my kids with me & that I didn’t have any help with them so they went above & beyond to make sure my kids were comfortable while I got the care I needed! Thank you to the staff at St Joesph for simply being AMAZING! Thank you for saving my life, Thank you for caring, thank you for you compassionate to HELP others, May God bless you all with everything your hearts desire, I pray nothing buy GREATNESS for you all.

Pleasant outpatient surgery, everyone was nice, wasn’t overwhelming busy, parking was abundant in the garage, Donna RN was great, cafeteria was delicious, liked the daily prayer on the intercom and the chapel was big and peaceful.

As a physician myself, I know the all about the wait-times in ER's and elsewhere. St Joe's is as fast as it gets. I have been to their ER, their Internal Medicine Clinic (Dr Mukit) and have been inpatient following surgery. With no "occupation-dropping" I have been treated like gold, everytime without fail. The shortest wait-time me or my family have ever experienced. You can be in and out less than one hour. Impossible to beat...I go nowhere else.

I can only comment on the community activity. Went to an event here, nice people, trying to help with activity in the community. Happy to have met them and hope they'll do more. I met an Alicia, and she was the head of the event. She said it was the first, so I'm hoping they have them every year.

ICU nurse verbally said they didn’t want to work with a severe patient any more … I feel like any icu nurses that don’t want to deal with severe patients should be at a doctors office doing bare minimum.

OWNER stop leaving comments with requests for info and make it possible to complain about treatment / safety issues BEFORE a lawyer if you care. But you don’t - that’s why 10% of all deaths in the US are medical mistakes, and medical billing mistakes are one of the most common financial deficits to the average uninsured family. Medical costs take up 10% of the GDP alone. You are completely ignoring these people in your facilities because they’re black. My white passing friend is the only person I have ever met with an ok experience here.Someone I know personally died in your ER.From the entire city, kindly, do something about it. I don’t want a phone number. You’re in a position to invoke change. Do it or move.I have managed restaurants on a district level with higher standards than your hospital and I’m not a college graduate with a huge salary.

St Joseph's hospital is the worst hospital ever. Especially a young ED Nurse named Liz. In case there is more than 1 person named Liz, I'm talking about the Liz that is young, light color hair, about 5'6" tall about 125lbs with tattoos. She is definitely not worthy of being a nurse. Her bedside manner is horrible. She is not the only horrible nurse but she is definitely the worst. She refused to help patient to bathroom, she refused to get patient water, she refused to have patience with the patient. She tried slamming medication into patient mouth. Medication fell as she missed the patient mouth. Refused to assist patient with hygiene. Lying to family about the time of surgery in order for the family to miss the patient going in to give their hugs and kisses and prayers. In other words, telling the family that surgery was 4 hours later. Just so happened 15 minutes after she told us when the surgery would be, we happened to have ran into an old ex worker of my sister's and my sister was telling her about the surgery and she said yes, that patient is scheduled for tomorrow morning at 9am which was the correct time. The nurse with child like behaviors should be reprimanded, she' in the wrong field. I hope she hasn't killed anyone or purposely gave the wrong medication. Her duty of care is definitely not in her heart

Do not go here unless you have no other choices. My daughter went there for a simple induction what should have taken 24 hours with competent staff however do to the incompetent staff in the OB department she had to make a decision to transfer to another hospital due to the 3 world care. Horrifying

Horrible experience I went into ER to be seen for chest tightness, abdominal pain, and heart fluttering which can be all signs of a possible heart attack including a headache and constipation. I was told by Eric a white doctor with short blonde whitish hair that he could look at me and tell nothing was wrong with me , that it probably was weed “talk about repugnant”this was the most horrible experience of my life , I felt treated less than a dog . I’m prescribed by a doctor to take high blood pressure medication and this man jus basically told me to die which could be an actual heart attack that prevented me from driving my own vehicle. It’s deplorable to know you guys hire doctors like that

They basically killed my grandchild. My daughter should have been told that IGUR was what she had and that the baby had stopped growing inside her. Babies with this condition should always be taken out early and put in the N I C U. She told them something was wrong over and over again when she went into the ER and her doctor appointments. No one listened because my daughter was young so therefor she was being over dramatic. Well now my grandchild is dead at only six weeks old. Breathing problems because his lungs weren’t developed enough to handle being in the world and he was under weight for a new born full term baby. These are two of the most common symptoms and should have been caught at her prenatal visits or when she complained that things didn’t feel right. Don’t go here no one listens or cares.
