purchased two hanging flower baskets for mothers day, and the last couple of days the baskets look terrible. Have given them water daily and a lot of care. Contacted the store to find out if they could replace them with new ones, the gentleman that I talk seemed to be very short and rude. He said that they can not do anything.Spending $ 70.00 for the two baskets was a waste. Last time I buy anything from there

Poor customer service. Wouldn’t return a brand new hose that I didn’t even cut from bulk roll. This was after I had to find the hose myself due to the lack of knowledge from the staff. Will drive to Home Depot or Menards from now on.

I've lived in New Glarus for 25 years. I recently retired so now have a lot of "at home projects". It WAS nice to have a Hardware store that was close and convenient. In fact I bet I've been there a half dozen times in the past month. Today I went and rented a Carpet Cleaner. Got there about 1:45 and told them I'd like to rent one. I was asked if I wanted it for 24 hours and I said no just the afternoon. I asked what time they closed and was told it needed to be back by 7:00. So I rented it. $23 with tax and a $25 dollar deposit. I brought it back at 6:20 and was greeted at the front counter by the same employee that I dealt with earlier and I was told to take it in back. I did so and waited a while and no one showed. I'm the only customer in the store. So I inconvenienced the only one I saw working, ( same guy I rented it from) and asked if someone could check me out and give me my deposit. He huffed and came to the back and I was then returned $15. I was told I was being charged a $10 late fee for the machine being late! This is the same employee that I spoke with and rented me the machine 5 or less hours prior. I said that I was told by you to have it back by close which I did with 30 minutes to spare. I told him that I had been done with the machine a good hour earlier and could have returned it earlier, but when I spoke to you earlier I was told it needed to be back by 7! He then just shrugged his shoulders at me and walked away with a grin! I don't care how close and convenient they are. From now on I'll drive the extra 15 minutes to go to Monroe before I go back here!

Unfortunately just moved here from another town where the hardware store personnel were super helpful and knowledgeable. Here no one makes much of an effort to help you, product knowledge is limited and pricing is high. Ironic they are branded True Value... should be rebranded as True Convenience (limited value)

They are not affected by coronavirus here- no masks and no distancing by employees. Customers are expected to enter a trailer with unmasked employee to access some bulk items (secrete) and common pen signature required at checkout.
