He does a full work up, gets your complete approval on prices before doing any work, targets the major issues and lets you pick how much you want to get done. “This is the second time I have brought my 2006 Jeep Liberty Renegade to NRF.
I am very happy to say that after living in the area since 1991, I have finally found a mechanic that I will stick with.
Any time I have had to have my car serviced, the mechanics usually tell me that my car is a piece of garbage and I should get rid of it and buy a new one.
Not NRF! They realize not everyone can do that and each time they have gone the extra mile to fix my car (which is not easy) due to rust and all the can's of worms that can pop up when working on an older vehicle.
Norm (the owner) comes off as a straight shooter and I haven't felt taken advantage of because he keeps me posted every step of the way.
I feel his prices are fair and both times my car has been worked on, I'm certain that much more time was spent in labor than what I was charged.
I also enjoyed watching the interaction between Norm and his mechanic, Scott. They definitely seemed to bounce things off of one another like a true team.
Met Chris, the Office Administrator today and even Norm's wife. Both gals were very friendly.
I really love the vibe of a good old fashioned mom and pop business.
The only problem I have in giving NRF a good review is I'm selfish and hate the thought that next time I might have to wait a week to bring my car in (like so many other shops).
Each time Norm and Scott have gotten me in the same day with the goal of finishing the work by the end of the day or the next morning.
If I could give them 10 stars, I would. I highly recommend Norm and his whole team.

“I was driving on the highway nearby and noticed one of my tires went flat. I pulled over to the quickest gas station nearby. Conveniently American Muffler & Automotive was right next store. They were able to put my spare on & have me out of there in less than 10 mins! It was quick & easy, definitely recommend.”
“I'm mechanically inclined and able to do most all work on my vehicles over the years. Got this 95' Honda Civic and it's runs very good until it don't. Changed the head gasket on it myself, then new distributor, wires, plugs, seals and gaskets from head up, thermostat, fuel filter, fuel pressure regulator, ecm, a lot of stuff. On my way to work (20 miles) I would stop at a gas station to get snacks and it wouldn't start when I would come back out. After a few trys it would start up and go. Couldn't diagnosis the problem myself so I looked up a local automotive shop. They had a good rating which is important because it tells you the experience others have had. Called them up, they towed my Honda to their shop and called me a day later explaining the fuel pump was bad would I like for them to fix it. I was able to pick it up after work.
Bottom line, my experience is they are fast, reliable and do good work. You won't be sorry!”
