We had a 2pm appointment today with an agent recommended to us. First hint that this wasn't going to go well was when the desk attendant asked a male client in front of us if he was my wife's name. Hmmm. Then out of the 1st cube popped a male tax preparer...we were expecting to meet with a female. He noted that we were on his calendar due to a family emergency for another preparer, but that preparer's name was not who we were to meet with...she was in the cube next to us, when she asked if we were her 2:00. It was discovered we somehow made it on both their calendars today...hmmmm. So, who turned out to be the Barney Fife of tax preparers asked if it was okay if he helped us. We told him we would have been fine waiting, but thought it might be okay. Boy, were we wrong. We don't have the most complex of taxes either. He starts paging through them, then says he sees something he's not sure about and leaves to talk to someone for 5 minutes, returns pulls half the papers out saying they aren't needed, including out LTC premiums documents which is COMPLETELY wrong. That was it, we were done. The irritating part was the front desk worker, when it asked if there was a good time to meet with the person we were referred to, and I replied, 2pm today, just laughed. LAUGHED! Just a totally unprofessional office.
Just read a review for this office from last year where owner replied saying they strive to provide full client satisfaction...they may strive, but seems to CONSTANTLY fail in that effort. To the owner, you can skip the canned reply...Actions speak volumes..empty promises don't.
EDIT UPDATE: To the owner that provided the canned response, are you freaking SERIOUS?? Why would we ever want to work with such an unprepared, unprofessional office. Not a chance in hell. Why do people continuously get the same useless response from you in response to your inept service?

Went in to the Oak Creek WI location to do my taxes. I am a new resident of WI and was told Christine was the best tax professional at that center. I had nothing but issues since the moment I got in the seat with her. My appointment was at 6pm and I had my 9 month old baby with me, the appointment lasted until 10:30pm do to system issues. Finally leaving at 10:45pm with my taxes done. I received a phone call the next day to inform me I will have to do an amendment on my taxes because everything got messed up the night before. Came in a month later to do my amendment and once again everything was input wrong. In the end my check should have been $ 305 more than what o received but do to numbers input incorrect I was shorted. I will never do my taxes at H & R block again. Very inconvenient and disappointing.

If you go to H&R Block make sure you ask for the fee! I almost fainted when she gave us our preparation fee!

Seemed unimportant , left them my taxes for 2 weeks calling multiple times for updates where they would just give the runaround until I told them I'd be in to pick up and go elsewhere then they somehow get them done real quick... Go elsewhere lots of cheaper more professional options
