The sign says 24 hour vet services. I took my dog Monday evening and they were closed. The sign on the door said at capacity. Not a person inside the dark building. I took her back again tonight, only to be turned away after being told they were “at capacity”. Shameful service.

They would receive a higher score if it wasn’t for the condescending receptionist. She single handily ruin the experience. She was rude and weird. She kept saying perfection. It was really salesy. They tried to up charge on everything. Upon walking in she right away asked that if my dog were to die do I approve $1,100 charge for CPR. The tone from there was set from there.

So disappointed. I have never been treated this way by a vet service. I was there 5 days ago with my cat and I have called three times and still haven’t gotten results to the tests I paid $250+ for. That is so unacceptable for what I paid for my services there. I can tell it is corporate and they are more about making money than caring for animals.

Seems the scam rumors are true. Would rather let my animal die of kidney failure than sell me a IV bag before charging me hundreds of dollars to tell me his kidneys are failing again which the other vet already confirmed. Ridiculous.Edit: Claim they are unable to look at any records from anywhere else which is suspicious because my regular vet and vets I’ve seen prior were able to do this. Upon reading other reviews too it seems best to avoid.

I went in to Blue Pearl, everyone was incredibly kind and welcoming. It felt like they truly cared about our dog and wanted to give the best care possible. They were considerate towards us during this difficult time as well.

I cannot thank Dr Rachel and the staff at Blue Pearl enough. They are so kind and genuine. We recently had to put our dog down and they were so empathetic. It is the worst situation in the world, but this staff was so supportive. They even mailed us a hand written card to share their sympathy. Thank you so much for being so wonderful during a devastating time.

This place is a dumpster fire, the front desk staff is horrible, has zero customer service skills, and then acts offended when you ask to speak to a supervisor. Not sure what is happening, typical signs of garbage management followed by garbage staffers. They will come back with some canned response from the owner, do yourself a favor and steer clear.

I brought my dog in for urgent care at 2:30 PM on a Saturday, when your clinic closes at 8 PM. I was told that in order for the staffto be able to leave on time, that you could not care for my dog, who I have brought in there before. Also, noting there was one other car in the parking lot. Very disappointed. This is supposed to be a local emergency resource and I was turned away,

In summary, there is no incentive here to give proper care to your Pet. My dog got attacked by another dog and we told them it was bitten on the butt. They said they did not find this pretty big wound. When I asked for a refund when it was found later, they said no, it was too hard since you're dog had thick fur. In my book, this excuse is unacceptable, especially with the money they charge and the advertising claiming they are professionals. In response to owner, I did call and talk to others about the situation before the review, even later talking to a supervisor.

I’ve taken pets here for about ten years, using both the ER and multiple specialty depts. I’ve always been happy with their ER dept. People complain about wait times, but they have to prioritize care. That’s just how this works. The ER staff works so hard, I have a lot of respect for them. That said, Lakeshore was bought out by corporate entity Blue Pearl, and the prices have absolutely skyrocketed since then to the point that it just feels icky now. I’m going to look for a private practice specialty care facility that doesn’t have the corporate monster to feed. It’s ~$200 to walk in the door for a specialist appt now, which would be totally fine if their other costs were reasonable. I don’t feel they are. For example, they tried to charge me nearly $100 for empty syringes I can get at an online pet pharmacy for around $20, and my regular vet gives them out for free with the meds! The prescriptions we’re given here are about twice the price they are anywhere else; when dealing with specialty depts, I always ask for printed scripts and get them filled on Chewy or at a human pharmacy because, in my experience, it’s drastically cheaper. Obviously if you’re in for emergency care, you likely won’t have that luxury, and will be forced to pay those inflated prices in order to get the meds immediately. Dr. Fleming is wonderful, but beyond her and her internal medicine team, I haven’t been overwhelmingly happy with the care here in a few years. It’s such a shame for patients when great vet practices get taken over by corporations that just want to get every last cent out of you.

This place will attempt to squeeze every last dime they can from you,(Demonstrated by their check in form), care is a no here. Strictly business. On the day of my pets incident they gave me 5 medications. 1 they didn't have so they refunded me $68 even. After searching the city, no one has it, so I let them know and they had some a day later. $200!!!! . The first excuse for the price change was dosage size. After I call them on it and tell them no it always was 5 ml from the beginning. Then it became, "Oh we priced you for the same medicine in a different form." That's when the vibe went bad and I felt like I was being hustled on the streets of Chicago. ?In response to your response. Apparently you didn't understand what I wrote. I understand how the market works. I also understand how business works. What happened with you guys was a 200% increase overnight once you knew I was desperate for the meds. It's almost like you went with the cookie cutter response and didn't read what I had said. There's no reason at 3:00 on a Sunday a med should be 68 and then Monday at 2:00 210. First, your tech lied to me about the milliliters. Then they lied about the form of which it was in. I still have the original receipt that was refunded. So just stop where you're at.

I was extremely happy with the care that my aging cocker spaniel received at BluePearl Pet Hospital! He was very sick, and they got him in immediately. Dr. Conlin, Randi, and the entire staff were just wonderful! They were professional, friendly, kind and compassionate. Dr Conlin spent a lot of time with me and my dog even though she was very busy. She took a history, did diagnostic tests, and created a treatment plan that worked well. My dog was back to his sassy "puppy-like" self in a short time. I'm so grateful for the help that we got at BluePearl and highly recommend them!

I just had a terrible experience here. I was so hopeful they could help my poor puppy who broke his nail down the middle. It was very bloody and red. He also was walking weird and in some discomfort/pain. We got there a couple hours before they close, they said that they couldn’t help us because they close at 9 and had a couple other clients. Pretty sad and disappointed. They wouldn’t let me talk or even show them my dogs paw. All they said was that they couldn’t help this late in the evening.

Id give them negative if i could. Very horrible experience. Got there right when they opened. They took until 4pm to start any sort of blood work or treatment. It turned out being kidney disease. They did not say anything about end of life or anything. The veterinarian started to talk about each individual test of blood work. We didnt understand anything she was saying. I would just not recommend them. They have been horrible everything. Will never be back! This place is not where any self respecting person should take an animal They care about. These people don't care and just want their money. My boy passed 5 days after treatment. He only got worse after they touched him. I believe it was their fault. MORALE OF RANT DONT GO THERE!
